Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

pillows could use updating especially the pillow cases. All pretty stained and slightly musty. Glassware was a bit dirty. Other than that was excellent!
Staff were excellent! Super helpful and available.

Just needs some maintenance done but we get it times have been tough for moteliers and it would be hard to compete with all the newer ones popping up. The pool wasn’t available to swim in but that’s ok. The microwave wasn’t cleaned properly and food left in it. a cellphone was left in the dish rack under the sink (still operational) There were leaks from the showers and under the fridge. Smoke butts outside the room near the door.
The manager was polite and a nice guy.

Microwave still had food that had gone rotten. Carpet wasn't vacuumed properly

seem to be alot of no housing people living there and someone stole my car park that made me have to park on main road when i got back 1am and i couldnt sleep knowing my property was and in my car so i left by 3am for a 3 hour drive
price was ok the bed needed a upgrade

The spa pool was merky smelt like it needed chlorine /pool cleaner... it wasn't disgustingly dirty but it just didn't smell like a spa I'm use2...

TV didn't go Coffee was not good Spa pool was green and had a sticky feeling in the water gods knows what that was probably too much loving going on in there?

The place was run down. The windows latch did not work- falling apart. The microwave did not heat anything. The fridge was not cold and couldn’t adjust. There were ants on the counters. It wasn’t cleaned properly.
Close to Paihia. Had own designated parking. Had a kitchenette.

The beds need replacing. They are very soft. The shower could do with an extractor fan to take out the excess steam and water in order to stop mould from forming The pictures of the rooms need upgrading as the pictures on the website is not what you get in the rooms

Unit was a bit cramped, cold and fridge froze food. A bit short on kitchen tools. I gave the motel proprietors a suggested list of repairs needed. Parking is cramped, very un nerving try to back out of their full car park

didn't like message telling you what you could cook. got turned down when tried to order breakfast, absolutely no cooking utensils,, and got soaked before you got into shower with washer needing to fix ,with not all light bulbs in.
walking distance, we were lucky to get aback room which was ferly quiet. beds were comfortable.

It is nothing like the photos show. The beds are uncomfortable and lumpy. Theres no air con only a fan that barely works. They offer a daily service of the room but they don't want to do it because there's no staff only a mother and her adult son. We had to plead with them. The pool looks fantastic in the photos but not in real life. Disappointing really, I will never stay there again.
I liked the photos they showed on the ad for the hotel.
