Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The room was spacious and looked like it was newly renovated. It had everything I needed. The bathroom had a very good size and a very good shower.

United KingdomThe only very slight negative was the carpet in the room - its one of those that deliberately has a pattern made to look like a worn carpet- but I stopped noticing it very quickly as everything else was great.
Very comfortable room and bed in this small modern hotel. Aircon was excellent. Subtle lighting - no harsh glares. Very good bathroom. Excellent breakfast - good choice available. The location is in a lovely attractive and leafy suburb , quite a few large grand houses in the vicinity. and the hotel is the end of a quiet cul-de sac. So hardly any traffic noise - very important for me. I had a south facing balcony - lovely view over trees and large houses. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not much in the way of local eateries/shops, but only 7-8 mins walk from a tram stop, takes about 15 - 20 mins to city centre. Stayed one week , thoroughly enjoyed it - wouldn't hesitate to stay again. NB the Google Maps walk instructions from the Traugutta tram stop make you turn left off Mariana Smoluchowskiego street and up a rough track between two flat blocks - ignore this on first arrival and carry on up the street, first left and left again. The track is a useful shortcut , but check it out in daylight when you are heading out - its a bit rough and steep.

GreeceIt is in a quiet and near a park location. In about 100m there's tram and bus station which helps much with the transportation to the Old Town. The personnel was very very helpful and polite. The room was not too big but still comfy as it needs. Also there's elevator in all levels, very useful with the baggages during check-in or checkout.

GermanyVery nice, small, cozy hotel. The rooms are very nice and everything is very new. The best thing was the breakfast with an incredible selection of different items and hot items a la carte. There is all-day coffee and tea and some cake in the afternoon. The hotel is situated in a calm neighbourhood but can be easily reached from the city center. Friendly and helpful staff.

FranceA short walk uphill from the tram, which CAN be difficult for the mobility challenged. The share bike is a great solution to move around but as the students take them,, there is no bike at the share bike stand by the university in the evening.
A small, compact hotel in a quiet area near the university. Great location close to the city centre and easy access to the exhibition centre. Great food, great staff, really all good.

PolandThe stuff could do a bit more for guests moving around with public transportation. Offering a taxi in every case is not necessary and not a sustainable option. The public transportation system in Gdańsk is easy to use and there are good connections to most locations.
The room was very comfy and clean and the design cosy. The hotel is in good walking distance from the main train station if you prefer it and have not much luggage.

PolandVesper House is a beautiful, modern boutique hotel located near the city centre, offering a tranquil, green and peaceful retreat from the city hustle. With excellent connectivity to beaches, main attractions, the Gdańsk Old Town, the main railway station and Politechnika SKM train station, Vesper House is located conveniently at a six-minute walk from the Traugutta tram stop, making it an ideal vacation spot. The hotel staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly, enriching the overall experience of staying at this lovely hotel. Guests are welcome to the dining area at any time of day to enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, juices, flavoured water, fresh fruits and freshly baked cakes. The hotel also offers a selection of board and card games for guests of all ages to enjoy with friends and family. The rooms are new, well-maintained and cosy, featuring meticulously designed interiors. The air conditioning system in the room is energy-efficient, automatically turning off if a window is open. It is commendable to see the Hotel embracing sustainable practices. All in all, Vesper House is an amazing place to stay. It truly feels like a home away from home. The hotel is fantastic, located not far away from city centre. The closest supermarket, pharmacy and bakery are 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The single room which I have stayed in was clean, cosy and spacious. The bathroom was also clean and well equipped (hair dryer, soap, shower gel, towels, toilet paper). The place is quiet and not overcrowded. I recommend staying there :)
