Not a swimmable beach and pool is small

Love the people who Go work there. The gentleman who registered me lovely and the valet was great as well. The only thing I did not like was the pool is small and the beach is not swimmable. The place was beautiful

I recently stayed at Ocean Club and had a fantastic experience! Minutes away from the Vanderbilt this still had its charm but with a refreshed feel. The staff was welcoming and helpful, the room was clean, modern and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The infinity pool although small was a great for the vibe and I noticed they allowed guest passes too. Drinks were great, pool staff friendly and a good mix of people. The hotel’s location was perfect, close to good restaurants and lots to do. I would stay again.

First, the cost relative to what's offered was not great (particularly with all the added hotel fees that come on the bill at the end). This seems pretty common in San Juan though, not specific to this hotel. Still, it makes things that would have been a minor issue feel a lot bigger when you're getting extra charges left and right. You definitely need to realize the pool and pool area are tiny, so getting a chair there is tough and the pool area only gets sun til about noon (in February at least). Service was a bit mixed, bartenders and waitstaff were great while the guy who checked me in at the front desk was the opposite of warm and welcoming. Pillows very uncomfortable.

Our ocean view double room was great, felt very airy and we loved the view. No complaints on the room at all, bed was comfy (though pillows uncomfortable). A/C worked well. The location of the hotel is convenient, with plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance and Ubers easy to get. The pool and beach view are beautiful (though see my notes on the pool area).

Shoddy workmanship - poor tiling poor finishes - I think expect more for the price . The restaurant was really nice food - but with outrageous prices. Don’t bother eating there. Just have a cocktail!

The huge window that we paid extra money for was foggy the whole time. We saw in other rooms and theirs weren't foggy. We asked to change rooms but there were none others available... so it felt like we spent all that extra money for nothing. Our neighbors on the 3rd night were extremely loud, slamming doors, yelling in the hallway, and running around at 11pm and nobody said anything to them. The shower pressure was so bad that it took like twice as long as normal to rinse conditioner out of my hair. We got simple breakfast sandwiches and a drink for breakfast and it was $60.. and the breakfast sandwiches at Dunks actually had more flavor. This all might sound picky, but when you spend this much money on a hotel, you expect it to be amazing, but it was just kinda meh.

The view from the pool area was beautiful, staff was very kind, very easy to get an Uber and explore, cafes and restaurants easy to walk to, bed was super comfortable.

BOGUS MINI-BAR CHARGES. When I asked them to refund it - they charged me twice and refunded twice... net change of zero. This is starting to stink of suspicious. Fighting for an actual refund! You can NOT use the beach here. We could not control the temperature in our room. We had to call the desk to have the temperature adjusted. This is ridiculous. There is a thermostat - but it does not work. Most of the outlets in the room were broken. Not enough pool lounge chairs or umbrellas. The hotel TV channel was insanely loud.

Property is on the water but you can go to the beach there. There is no beach. Have to walk down a bit and use the public one. The pool didn’t have towels available. The elevators and walk areas were soaking wet from people walking through dripping. Rooms could use some TLC. There is no refrigerator in the room. It doesn’t even keep the mini bar items cold.

My least favorite experience was the flooring in the room. At times it could be sticky and slippery.

The location was great. The view of the ocean from our room was amazing. Social restaurant was very good, and the wait staff was professional and great at casual conversation while remaining attentive to our dining needs.

I contacted the desk for room cleaning service and even stopped downstairs to remind them of our room needing cleaning service and towels but no one ever completed the request. We didn’t have cleaning service to our room for 2 days and used the same towels both days.

The aesthetic was lovely, the kid free/adults only was the vibe and the beach view was gorgeous.
