Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GibraltarThe swimming pool was closed, due to over running building works, hopefully all finished now.
Great location in the middle of the Old Village area right next to the golf course, and easy 20 minute walk to Marina. Good Breakfast and a good number of nice bars and resurtants within close walking distance. The reception staff, were great and couldnt do enough to help you.

United KingdomWe stayed here last minute during the power outage in Europe as our flight was cancelled. We arrived to the hotel at night with the staff not having any details of our booking as there was absolutely no power at the resort. They efficiently took our details and made us feel at ease providing food and escorting us all to our rooms when we were ready. The next day they gave us breakfast FOC and looked after us so well. The property itself was stunning, spotless and fabulous facilities!

United KingdomOur only recommendations are: - kids club needs more work. The activities were good for very small children (4-5) but even out 7 year old found it boring and babyish. There also didn’t seem enough people in there for the number of children as the children said they were left alone if a younger child needed to be taken to the bathroom (which isn’t acceptable). - The plug sockets in the bathrooms didn’t power the hairdryer so there was no mirror in plug socket reach to dry / style your hair. - It would have been nice to have a small shop on site to buy a few essentials such as coffee / milk / crisps, although the spa supermarket is not far.
We stayed half board and the breakfast and dinner were all delicious. There was a good selection and we were made to feel welcome. There was no alternatives for allergies / intoleranbces though, however dairy free milk was given to us on request. The pools were great although only one outdoor one was open when we were there as it was the start of the season. There wasn’t enough seating in the main lounge for everyone, dining tables could be moved aside perhaps after dinner for more people to sit. The games available for guests were a great touch.

United KingdomFantastic hotel in a lovely location next to the village where there are a few nice places to eat and drink and a little grocery shop. An Uber down to the marina is 5 - 8 euros depending on the time of day or you can get on the tourist train. The staff at the hotel are very kind and helpful and the hotel is exceptionally clean. We had a 2 bed apartment for 2 adults and 2 kids and it’s massive and very well equipped. I would stay here again - it’s just lovely.

United KingdomUnfortunately the weather wasn’t great and temperatures were unusually cold. The heating system in the apartment wasn’t working and I had to chase Reception twice for a maintenance call. He could not fix the problem and arranged for two heaters to be delivered to our room with assurance that the technician would return the following day. Unfortunately one of the heaters also failed and the technician never showed. Very disappointing.

IrelandLocation is further out than we would have liked. A lot of walking with three small kids, we got a taxi at least once every day to the marina or the old town. Some days we got a taxi four times as kids tired after a day out. We love to run and walk ourselves but with small kids the location is not great. We will definitely rent a car for the week if we stay again, there was plenty of parking at the hotel and in the marina and old town and at all of the beaches (we went to four or five different beaches). The sauna didnt work, it was never on and when turned it on (you press a button to turn it on) it took ages to heat up to any level worth sitting in, wasnt worth it. Tried a few different times but it didnt heat up.
The apartment (no. 96) was lovely, very spacious and had all the appliances required. Bonus was a washing machine and a dryer. It had lovely balconys off each of the rooms, was top floor so nice views over the golf course. Staff are excellent, very friendly. Went to the spa and it was lovely, daughter got her hair cut and really enjoyed the experience. New years eve gala was super, food was amazing and plenty of drinks offered and it was a good fun night, staff were great. Loved sitting by the log fire in the bar in the evenings playing the many wooden board games on offer, we had lots of fun. The indoor pool is excellent, kids really enjoyed it every day. We also used the outdoor pool for a quick dip a few times, it is heated but still very cold.

CanadaWe were experiencing some difficulty with central heat. Initially it was always 17C (outside 12C) and couldn't get it warmer (tile floors are very cold). During the day it would warm passively from the sun. After multiple attempts and portable heaters, we managed to get to 20C. I suspect that would be considered "working" since these are not setup for colder weather
Very pleasant staff who work to remedy any deficiencies. Areas are all very clean. Well equipped apartments for kitchen and washrooms. We'll functioning washer and dryer.

PortugalI was expected more luxury from Four seasons brand. It's just a basic 4 star hotel, nothing bad but very old (1990 built) and very basic breakfast and tiny indoor pool. Nothing really bad but nothing special. It has some renovations but everything feels dated and old. Underground parking is a joke, made for bicycles probably. It has a billion of tiny pillars everywhere, almost impossible to fit a normal size car even in winter.. One of the worst parkings I have seen in my life. I cant imagine what happens in summer there. Breakfast too basic. Checkout time must be 12 as in all other hotels in Portugal not 10am. Indoor pool closes too early (6pm, must close at 8). Very bad timing.
A great and spacious room Friendly stuff Good dinner They are building new big outdoor pool. Great villa-style feeling. All around solid 4 star hotel, good for couple of days stay

Romania1. Half of the hotel grounds are under renovation, (outdoor big and kids pools) until Easter 2025. This really upset me, because I booked months in advance and had I known I would have never chosen to spend my holiday on a construction site. It was very disappointing to have that view. Could've chosen any other hotel. 2. Playground also closed - again disappointing. 3. Heated pools - not really heated, both indoor and beach pools were cold and especially not posibile for a small kid to use them. 5. Location - very farr from the beach, car is needed (didn't bother me, just putting the info here). 6. Heating in our room didn't work and we froze for the first two days. Imagine coming after a long drive to a room of 18 C with a 4 yo child. It was horrible to say the least. They did give us electric heaters. It wasn't enough to elevate the temperature to a comfortable degree, but it was at least ok to sleep. After they "fixed" the ventilation, the air was moldy and smelled very bad, I'm still washing the smell out of everything. Again a very disappointing experience. Overall it wasn't the comfortable winter escape with a pool for my kid to play that I expected.
1. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, especially the restaurant staff - the most kind and helpful waiters I've ever met. Thank you, you really made me feel taken care of. Booked this hotel for the apartments, half board and indoor pool, for a winter trip with a small kid. 2. The apartment - huge and fully functional if you want to go self catering (we didn't), bathtub with jacuzzi, balcony, nice view from 6th floor over Vilamoura and even the ocean in the horizon. We had a great view of the NYE fireworks, but I would've prefered a ground floor apartment with terrace, it would have been easier with a small kid. 3. Half board - good food, not very varied, but good quality and the NYE dinner and 1st January brunch were fabulous. Indoor pool - disappointing, not heated properly, very cold, very small, not inviting at all, needs a renovation. 4. Outdoor beach pool - slightly heated, beautiful, not the best temperature when cold outside but I could still dip in January at 16C outside. But not good for kids, too cold. 5 Free parking both garage and outside.

United KingdomBreakfast was €17pp and not worth the price, cheaper to go into old village or marina for breakfast. Currently lots of building works going on as they are doing up one of the swimming pools, so loads of workmen and noise at the moment (November 2024)
Really lovely hotel. We stayed in 2 bed apartment which was really spacious. Hotel has a small gym and nice pools. Our aircon was broken and leaking loads of water, hotel staff came and fixed immediately.
