The bar and restaurant was closed. For a four star hotel thats a disgrace. Had to venture out to get food in a storm....got absolutely soaked not very pleasant at all.

Amazing experience, super nice staff. Very nice room with stunning view to the beach.

Rooms are simple, slightly on the smaller size. Terrace is just a step out size.

Close by the airport, great option if you need a nice hotel for early flight. Breakfast had enough choice, was a nice start of the day. Ocean is very close by, you can easily walk around the city from the hotel.

The elevator lift was in-operable upon our arrival. Carrying large suitcases up to 3rd floor was difficult. Later in the day elevator was fixed.

Hotel is in a great location in center of Machico to be close to the airport. Staff was helpful

Nice little hotel but no heater in the room. It was cold at night. Also, no kettle to make coffee or tea and the tap water smells and tastes terrible. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

There Is just payd parking, no cattle in the room and there was quit cold

The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, and the breakfast was poor, specially fruit wise since Madeira it's a place known for having lots of tropical fruits locally

Slippery bathtub, would be better with a change to shower. The bed a bit hard, but ok. Could use a bench or something for the suitcase and two chairs in the room.

Enjoying the renovated room, loved getting rid of those old carpets. Beautiful wiew from our room/balcony. As earlier a very god choice of breakfast. And a very serviceminded nice staff, quick answers before arrival and during stay.

No wifi in the room. No parking( we spent a lot of time wandering around - I don't blame the hotel but something to consider). It felt a little overpriced.

It was a minor inconvenience to have to call and wait for a security guard to drive over to let us in when we arrived (at the scheduled time). My biggest concern is that the hotel's Booking .com account had been hacked, and all of us received multiple messages -- IN our booking.com chat window with the hotel -- attempting to steal credit card information. The message was that we needed to supply a credit card to complete the reservation (which had already been done). But because it came through the site, at least one of us (me) fell for it, and I had to cancel my card promptly. I reported this to the hotel and booking.com weeks before we traveled, and we still got the phishing messages again, as late as a few days before we traveled. I don't know where the breakdown occurred, but I honestly don't intend to use booking.com again. There is clearly some kind of security problem.

Comfortable room, if a bit cramped for two people who aren't partners. Very nice balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring Machico, a very easy walk to the beach and restaurants.

No air conditioning, bit noisy with the windows open. Hot in July. Fortunately the front desk loaned me a fan.
