We booked at last minute for a hotel near an airport as we were flying out the next day. This place was reasonably close as we had a rental car and sounded nice. We were quite shocked when we arrived. The place was really, really nice! Beautiful grounds! Lovely room, Historic and intresting interior. Great restaurant and very delicious dinner and complimentary buffet breakfast. We could of stayed longer!

The care and attention to detail that the back office and front office took to our booking was uniquely special (and greatly appreciated). The room was absolutely beautiful but it was the service from the hotel concierge Sarah and the rest of the QT team that will bring us back again in the future. Oh, that and the killer rooftop. Stunning.

We came for the flower and garden show.

We came for the flower and garden show. Rain didn't spoil our 2 days there. We came prepared with raincoats/ponchos. Lygon street had a lot of choices for dining but was disappointed that we could and did online at an Indian restaurant, got confirmation and when we arrived the restaurant wasn't even there! Info a bit outdated.

I have been to the area many times, but took advantage of doing some things that I kept missing out on. I went to the Vintage Market which I highly recommend as well as the Botanical Gardens. The Vintage Market is located in the restored Mill buildings, and the whole area is just divine. I had a brief walk around the area, but spent most of my time strolling all the stalls inside the market. I Will definitely visit this space again. The gardens are beautiful and I am planning another trip to Geelong so I can spend some more time walking around them.

Went for the architecture, history and culture. Only disappointment the main art gallery was closed so will need to return for that one, it's in the most magnificent stand of buildings. Sovereign Hill need lot of time and planning and is worth every penny. Eureka Centre, Botanical Gardens and lake etc were all impressive. The dining scene was world class however make sure you book ahead for Saturday night as everyone was out and literally everything was booked out!

We love Bendigo. There is always so much to see and do. I recommend going to see The Great Stupa (Buddhist Temple) and a walk through the gardens in the CBD. There are plenty of fantastic options for dinner. We enjoyed an Italian meal at Borchelli Ristorante. Food was delicious and very generous servings. We also enjoyed a show at The Capital Theatre - it's good to check out what's on there (lots of entertaining shows). Bendigo is a happening place to be...whether it's for relaxing or entertainment, there's something for everyone!

Great town. We enjoyed a long lunch on the Echuca Wharf. A credit to all involved. Incredible on a wonderful, sunny Friday afternoon. Saturday we enjoyed the Wharf to Morrison's Winery experience. Second time for us & will certainly be enjoying again. The MV Canberra captain Richard were so obliging & full of history. Wine was nice too 😊 Dined at Greek Opa - delicious, dined at the Wren Courtyard, delicious too. We used the taxi services & they were great.

Lakes Entrance is a really lovely coastal town with a relaxed, holiday feel. I enjoyed the beautiful water views, the long beaches, and the easy pace of the place. There are plenty of nice cafés, seafood spots, and little shops to wander through, and it’s a great place just to walk along the waterfront and unwind. Overall it’s a simple, scenic spot for a laid back getaway. My favourite places were the main beach, which is great for a long walk and beautiful ocean views, and the waterfront area where you can stroll past the boats and stop at little cafés. I also enjoyed the bridge area and Cunningham Arm because the views over the water are really lovely, especially around sunset. It’s just a nice place to wander and take it all in. Dinner at Off The Wharf Cafe was relaxed and tasty, with a lovely view of the water making it feel really special. We also had takeaway from Footbridge Fish and Chips, it was simple but delicious, and sitting by the water made it really enjoyable. Yes, getting around Lakes Entrance is pretty easy. We walked a lot around the waterfront and main town area, which is compact and very walkable, and we also drove to explore the beaches and surrounding spots, which made seeing everything convenient without feeling rushed. For older couples, Lakes Entrance has plenty of relaxed activities. We enjoyed an **eco tour cruise**, which was a lovely way to see the wildlife and scenery without too much effort. We also drove to **Paynesville** and hopped on the ferry to **Raymond Island** to see the koalas—easy, scenic, and a really memorable day out.
