Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeds so uncomfortable could barely sleep. Air con didn’t work so uncomfortably hot. Understand why staff approach holiday makers but it was just too much and highly annoying when you are trying to relax.
The pool is beautiful and reception.

United KingdomThe staff were polite, although a few were a bit too persistent in offering extra services. Our booking included only breakfast and dinner, and we had to pay extra for lunch, which felt overpriced but we didnt have choice as it was during Ramadan and there were no restaurants open in Hammamet. Despite being off-season, the hotel was clean and well-maintained. However, the animation was lacking, and there wasn’t much to do in or around the hotel, apart from walking along the beach.

United Kingdom1-It would be nice if all the food in the buffet dinning hall was labelled properly to see if it contains beef or not because of my religion. I had to keep asking the staff who always tried to help me! 2-You had to pay extra for a safe! 3-Beach is not very clean sometimes with a lot of plastic rubbish and lots of camel poo specially during the weekends which i think the local authoroties don't clean very often. Also the beach had always the red flag on so a bit dangerous to venture in the sea for a swim!
Super friendly and helpful staff! Big thank you to sweet Fatma who made sure my room was always beautiful and clean. Big thank you to all the animation team specially to Houyem who is the nicest and sweetest person. And thanks to all reception and dining hall and bar staff who kept calling me the hot water lady as I kept requesting them for a glass of hot water every night to take my medicines.

CanadaWe booked for breakfasts and dinners only as we were going to do day trips much of the week. We were surprised to discover no drinks, not even water, was included with our dinner. Ans the pillows were terrible (I’d seen a previous review mentioning this but didn’t think every pillow would be horrible).
Great beach location. The animation staff were very friendly and welcoming.

United StatesThe rooms and corridors are a bit dated at this point, but that was not really a problem for us.
I have spent a couple of nights with my wife and 15 years old daughter in the Iberostar Averroes hotel during a recent trip to Tunisia. We loved the beachfront location close to the beach walk and main attractions in Hammamet. The hotel has a very good structure with internal/external pools and good restaurants. I would recommend for individuals traveling to Hammamet.

United KingdomThe staff are hit and miss, some are nice and friendly, like our room service maid Fatima, she was amazing. Others during breakfast and dinner were a bit moody and are in a rush to take your plates. If you’re there on your own at dinner or breaky, make sure you let them know to leave your plates if you get up because no matter how full, they’ll pick them up. However, the key disappointing thing I wanted to point out is the pool was FREEZING. The sun was out and it was a great day, I tried swimming regardless of how cold but honestly I’ve been in ice baths warmer lol.
Beautiful hotel, pools and beach all is great, no complaints there. Fun activities like tennis, table tennis and more available.

United KingdomWe stayed on a half-board basis, but unfortunately, the food was incredibly disappointing. Both breakfast and dinner were poor in quality, with the same limited options served every single day. The lack of variety and low standards of the meals really let the experience down. As for the hotel itself, while it was generally acceptable, many aspects were outdated and below expectations. The TV in the room was very old, there was no iron provided, meaning we had to pay every time we needed ironing, and the hairdryer was outdated and barely functional. To make matters worse, the electricity in our room kept cutting out due to ongoing electrical issues. This was extremely inconvenient, especially since the room phone didn’t work, forcing us to visit the front desk every time we needed assistance. The location of the hotel was another major disappointment. It was very far from all the main sightseeing activities, and we had to pay the hotel a significant amount of money each time we wanted to go out. This made the experience far more expensive than we had anticipated and added unnecessary frustration. Overall, while the hotel has potential, the outdated facilities and poor food quality made for a disappointing stay.
The hotel was right next to the beach which was nice for walks and to get some fresh air

United StatesThe bed was firm and there needs to be a disclaimer regarding whether or not I have to pay for water during dinner. One night during dinner we were not charged and then the next night we weren't. There has to be a visible standard and something in writing regarding this.
