Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI paid for 1 room with a single bed and a double bed and when I arrived I was given a room with 2 single beds When I raised this problem with the lady at reception she insisted that I don't need a double bed because it's just me and my son, when I explained that I specifically wanted a double bed for myself and that I paid for it she told me that they didn't have any rooms left and then she got very rude So I was bassicly conned I stayed in that room for 1st night and waited for the manager to arrive the next morning The manager also insisted that I didnt't need a double bed I was gobsmacked Eventually they moved me to the correct room Having had this problem I checked the reviews on TripAdvisor and the 1st review that I see was complaining about the same problem, Once I was in my room the experience was ok Didn't like the food
Loved the beach and some of the surrounding restaurants Weather was great

CanadaThe rooms were dusty and dirty, the beds were extremely small and uncomfortable. Every morning and close to the evening you could smell the sewage coming up from the bathroom holes. Under the beds weren’t been cleaned for months, the air conditioning filter hasn’t been cleaned in years. The staff after 12pm would sit by the pool drink and just being so loud all the way into early morning. You could still hear them down by the pool even if the balcony was shut close. Then tea and coffee cups were dirty. There was one person who was always standing by the buffet ( with the ponytail ) and just stare at everyone eating that made people very uncomfortable and so much more. For me it was the last time I will ever book this place and upto today I’m still confused that why they call it a hotel!
The one and only pros of this property was it’s location and nothing more.

United KingdomThis hotel is run by a family of males, that have no security for the guest of the hotel other then themselves who drink and eat with their familes all night, One member of staff took a fancy to me as I was on my own and felt he could access my door without my permission in the night time while I was in my pjaymas sleeping, when I confronted the management they didn’t really care and replied with (I left the door open) they covered his tracks by saying he doesn’t work at the hotel (well that is even worst) luckily I record the whole thing, they paid me back some of the money not all which is disgusting as a young female on her own I don’t think they realise how serious this is and not really to be brushed under the carpet to find out that the guy in question still works there now. And I also had to pay for another hotel as I did not feel safe to continue staying there. Some back alley hotel run by crooks I think they are all in on it wouldn’t surprise me if its happened before. I only booked there as There was a powercut at the apartment I was staying in before and Acar was the cheapest hotel, you literally pay for what you get no security and a management that talk down to you because your female. Luckily in my situation I had witnesses leading up to the moment and I wasn’t no vuneralble female I stood my ground with the guy coming in my room ,imagine if I was a dead sleeper or was really drunk the situation could of been way worst then it was and thats down to me. If you do happen to go to this hotel do not stay in room 101 as it has blind spot going to the room as you enter a small alleyway to the door. P.
