Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. AustraliaThe included breakfast was only just better than nothing at all. Hot/ warm food was barely above cold temperature. Breakfast staff were extremely disinterested and were slow to replenish food, juice and plates without asking. The food selection was very basic and seemed to cater to bus tour groups.
The location was absolutely excellent for proximity to the water, public transport and important city sights. The room had a good view of the water and the housekeeping service was also up to a good standard.

GreeceThey refused to give extra key cards. We were three people. Breakfast is quite simple,not many options. The hotel is situated in front of three nightclubs and it’s loud all night long and all of our group had issues sleeping at night. Careful cause they don’t mention it. If you want to rest quietly do not pick this hotel or at least pick a room on the higher floors

IrelandThere was nothing I didn't like. The facilities were as you would expect of a three star hotel, maybe not brand new but overall the price reflects this. There was some noise from the street especially at the weekend but it didn't stop us from sleeping.
This was our first time in Turkey and we stayed a week in Izmir based at the Marla Otel. We found it a great value hotel, the room was comfortable and clean. I have to say what really made our stay here was the staff. They are really genuinely friendly and helpful. Güneş the bell boy particularly went above and beyond to be of help and gave us lots of tips and suggestions for places to see or restaurants to try. Güneş English is really good and it added to our holiday experience to chat with him every day. Bersel was also ready with a smile to brighten your day and happy to help in any way and her English is also excellent. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning. There is a good choice of cheeses, salad, breads and cereal. There is also different specialty dishes that varied each day; fried eggplant in tomato sauce, potato dishes, sausage dishes ( I don't know what the dishes were called but the ones I tried were all tasty!). Look out for the hotel cat that usually makes an appearance at some stage before she's whooshed back out the door! The rooms were always clean and comfortable and ours had a great view of the city from the 9th floor. The location of the hotel is excellent for heading out on foot and we walked everywhere in Izmir.

Rooms were spacious and clean, the curtains blocked out the sun very well which was great given we were there in August. Amazing location, really close the to pedestrian street alongside the see and close to an amazing restaurant just on the corner.
