Haber Hotel is run by a lovely couple Kasia and Kris, who always go the extra mile to make their guests happy. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and they are always happy to advise on places to go and activities to take. They are always around making sure their guest get the best possible service. Kasia, who is responsible for the restaurant, is an exceptional cook! All the dishes that are being served look like from Masterchef! The food is reasonably priced, and please trust me, you won't get the same quality for a similar price in their neighbourhood. Another thing important to mention is a great receptionist called Emanuel. He is also a gem and can help with anything and everything! The hotel is not in the first line and has no access to the beach, but for us, it wasn't a problem. They have a deal with a nearby hotel, and Haber guests can use their sun loungers and their beach. You can also rent bicycles for free and explore nearby beaches by bike, which we very much liked! If you don't fancy going to the beach, Haber Hotel has an excellent pool, or actually, two pools joined together. Our stay at Haber was excellent - the rooms are big and comfortable, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere and the ambience of the hotel were great. Haber hotel took its name from a lovely resident dog, a spaniel called Haber, so please don't be surprised if you see him around. He is a lovely dog, and if you are a dog person, he will definitely come for a tummy rub or just to say hello. Except the dog, the hotel is also a home to three lovely cats who the owners rescued from a very dire situation. And one last thing - considering price to quality ratio, Haber Hotel offers excellent value! You won't find anything better around.

Beautiful place, nice atmosphere. We were so surprised about the food in the restaurant. All was very tasty! New options for breakfast every day. Nice view from the room. The garden is huge with many different kind of fruits and flowers. 2 swimming pool in the hotel, one on the roof with amazing view for Mnemba Island. Thank you Haber Team! We will come back soon 🙂

Everything was great! Amazing place, lovely caring staff and owners who treated us as the vip guest. Fabulous food and excellent big room. We love the pool and hammock beds. We were so happy to stay there it has been amazing time and would highly recommend to everyone.

Rooms have windows above the doors so would be good to cover or put the hallway lights on a timer to ensure full darkness in the rooms.

The location of the hotel is a bit far from the beach, about 10 minutes walk, but they have a coordination with another beachfront hotel, sunshine hotel, you can use the beach and the pool. Also, there are no restaurants nearby nor cafés, so you will always need to call a taxi, however, they also provide free bicycles for the guests to use.

The place was really calm and quiet. It’s a good place for the couples who are seeking relaxation. The owners are very hospitable, and the staff was professional and friendly.

The location is a little out of the way which we liked as it was so quiet. However it is a ten minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to town. But at the beach you can swim and lounge at the ‘sister’ hotel which is super comfortable and convenient. Bikes are also available. I mention all this in part as I found lunch/supper portions underwhelming for the price and beer/drinks pricey.

The entire property, including the pool, was very clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is superior and made fresh - not buffet. We were three adults and our room had three beds and plenty of space.

Nothing it was perfect!

This has been our favourite hotel so far, so much so we extended our stay for another day and choose to loose the money we paid for our hotel we had already booked for the 31st! But it was really worth it, the owners are a lovely couple that made sure everything was running smoothly Emmanuel the receptionist was so accommodating and helpful! They also arranged a bus for 20 of us to go the the main NYE event on The island ‘the full moon party at Kendwa Rocks’! The rooms are beautiful they are really well done, with a lounge and bedroom split and balcony overlooking then pool, really nice facilities, the hotel is named after the owners dog, who you will see chilling at the hotel. We also had access to the sunset beach which we just had to walk 5minutes to which is part of sunset hotel, there is an agreement between the hotels to use there facilities, so you can also use sunsets pools and sun beds which was nice, on sunset beach there were loads or tour guys that can organise spontaneous boat trips to snorkel which is great if you have not booked it in the the hotel… They have a roof terrace where we enjoyed a feast every morning and dinner every night! They have food was always fantastic and abundant, and they cooked substitutes for my to accommodate my allergies to gluten and dairy so I could also enjoy crepes and toast, eggy bread, it was heaven, for NYE we enjoyed an amazing seafood platter, before all boarding the bus and going to the party. Honestly we were so happy to stay here it has been amazing and would highly recommend to everyone.

Nothing—We loved the property—the only thing you need to know before booking is that the nearest beach is a 10 minute walk and there isn’t anything (stores/restaurants) close by other than more hotels/resorts. But we knew this in advance so it didn’t bother us at all—we like the quiet area.

We loved the pool and the hammock beds that surrounded the pool. The food is absolutely delicious and the owners are willing to accommodate your dietary needs. But the best part is definitely the owners and staff—they treated us like VIP guests and took great care of us. They even hosted a family style Christmas Eve dinner with authentic polish cuisine and had a live band perform for dinner on Christmas Day. Honestly the previous reviews about this place are spot on—it’s a great place to unwind and relax plus the area the hotel is located in has the best snorkeling experience on the entire island. Our stay at Haber Apartments was fantastic! One of the standout features was the large, beautiful pool, which was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The rooms were incredibly spacious—much bigger than other hotels we’ve stayed at in Zanzibar, giving us plenty of room to unwind. The food was equally amazing, not just in taste but in presentation. Every meal was beautifully decorated and tasted just as great, adding a touch of luxury to the dining experience. The staff was another highlight—they were incredibly friendly and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, and the service continued to impress us throughout our stay. Great hotel with lovely, caring staff members. The hotel exceeded our expectation. Everything about the hotel was fabulous, Breakfast on the roof top, private chef, well serviced menu, excellent room which was very well proportioned, super comfortable beds and a humungous bathroom!! The AC was an added bonus (other accomodations we stayed in did not have this). The staff were always willing to help and cater to our requirements and needs and would go out of their way to ensure we were enjoying our stay. A couple of days we had a very early start and the hotel ensured we were able to take a packed breakfast with us to enjoy during the day. Superb!! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would definitely visit this place again on our next visit.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly, a really nice place to stay. My partner is coeliac so can't eat wheat and this wasn't a problem. My partner also received a few nice GF baked cookies throughout our stay which was really thoughtful. The pool was great, managed to get a few good swims in it. A very relaxing break. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from one beach and maybe 15 minutes from the other, which stretches for miles. A lovely beach and one day we decided to explore a little more by taking a taxi a few miles further along the beach.

Location is a bit isolated from many places. but if you want to be isolated - this is the place.

Spacious rooms and Bathroom. clean. quiet area. we had liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner (many hotels are not giving it in Zanzibar). Great stuff who were there to assist all the time. Great pool. you have fresh cold water available all the time. Great Breakfast.
