Planet Lodge is a wonderful place to stay in Arusha. All the rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and private. The bay window is an absolute show stopper. Private balconies provide the visitor with a chance to take in the amazing grounds. Everything is clean and operational. The breakfast buffet is an absolute adventure. And the STAFF! Professional, courteous and make the stay that much more enjoyable. Will definitely stay here again.

Pleasant setting in a wide garden (we received a bungalow upon request, that was further away from the a bit noisy street that is seperated through a higher wall from the setting). Pool pleasant and garden nice for setting. Bungalow large. Good breakfast buffet.

While the accommodation itself wasn't expensive, and I thought that the room was worth the money paid, the lodge does try to eek money out from you in other ways... The main way it does so is through the food. Given the fare offered, I felt that the food was overpriced (the lodge definitely make the most of you being a captive audience, as it is not easy to just walk elsewhere). This is especially true for dinner, for which there is a flat rate of USD 25. It is standard buffet food and, while nice, nothing special to justify that price.

Planet Lodge is super convenient, being on the outskirts of Arusha centre, on the Kilimanjaro side. It takes about an hour to get there from the airport. The staff were extremely welcoming and very happy to help. I stayed the day before embarking on my safari, and for two nights after the safari. The hotel is very quiet, and felt very safe. The bedrooms are nice and meet all your needs. Having a pool is a plus (although it was quite cold), and the food was generally very good.

In the course of time, I have tried many lodges in Arusha, and Planet Lodge is my favourite place giving a very good value proposition. Lovely and caring staff, very good food both in breakfast and dinner, nice pool and restaurant/bar outlay. Lodges in the nice and well kept gardens are comfy, spacious and clean. In short, a very good place to stay.

Wasn't happy about the early check-in fee of $30 nor the additional person fee of $43 for my second night after my husband joined me. I can understand a small charge for the additional breakfast but $43 was excessive. When I used Booking.com, I input 2 people for the second night and the software cookies must have changed it back to 1. While I appreciated the airport pick up, I wasn't informed about the $60 cost until after I checked in. It was never mentioned in the communication.

Staff was amazing. Peter the Driver, Gertrude at dining and Anna at front desk were standouts. Grounds were lovely. Best breakfast from lodges all week. Great about storing luggage for the week as well as interim during final day.

Dusty, noisy as it is right next to some major roadworks. Location not ideal for start of safari nor if you are flying in to Arusha Airport - but that was our mistake rather than hotel.

Clean, very good hotel grounds, nice pool. Food was ok, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night on our way to safari. Great pool and bar.

We had an exceptional stay- I will definitely stay there next time I'm in Arusha. The rooms are large, gardens are beautiful and the dining area is spacious. The staff was also very friendly and remembered me by name.

The meals were over priced for what we got.

We stayed at Planet Arusha after a safari waiting for our flight to Nairobi. The property was really pretty and a perfect place to hang out. The room was comfortable and large and the lobby had seating that we could have hung out in if it had been too hot to be outside.
