How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Carpet in the rooms! The room smelled stale and damp. I think the overall smell would greatly be improved by removing the old carpets
Location!! Beach was beautiful. What made me decide to book Bilmar was that beach chairs were included. Bonus was that it also included towels, floats, and a bottled water.

The noise isolation was really bad - could here all the noise comming from the street (cars, restaurants, sirens etc.). Also the air conditioner in the room looked really old and was working loudly. So I barely got any sleep at night.
Very nice location, nice and clean rooms. Plenty of towels, eveything in place. Kitchenware was very useful, coffee too.

On day of checkout a staff member attempted to barge into our room at 10am, despite the fact that I had posted a ‘Do not disturb’ sign on the door I literally signed an agreement to check out by 11am
Friendly front desk, amazing location, great rooms with kids bed, overall we look forward to returning in the near future

I would have liked more bath towels in the room by default. Also wouldn't mind having a place to hang wet swimsuits to dry off overnight in the room, like a clothesline in the shower. The advertised karaoke in the bar didn't actually happen.
The location of the resort was excellent. The ability to check out bikes and beach chairs was nice. The ability to get bottles of water on demand was a nice perk too. The room was clean and spacious a with a small fridge and microwave.

Air conditioning wasn’t working very well & had to get ice from the 4th floor all week as the second & third floor ice machines did not work

Housekeeping was atrocious and I will be contacting the manager Elevators are so small we couldn’t go on the elevator together because we couldn’t fit

The construction, carpet in the rooms and limited lighting in the bathroom
There was construction in our areas and there was no convenient way to access our room. We finally complained about the construction and we were moved to a better location.

Very small item to note: Broken shower handle. Normally we could deal, but the water went from scalding hot to freezing cold without any real positioning. An annoying game to have to play to get the right temperature.
This location is fantastic! The amenities are really nice. Great pools, beach chairs and bikes upon request, etc. Sloppy Joe’s also has great food and service. Good atmosphere for families. Rooms aren’t anything fancy, but definitely functional.

Room location! Don’t know if it was because we booked through Booking.com, but $1400+ for 3 nights should have gotten us a far better location. 4 yr ago we booked for 2 people and stayed in a larger room near the lobby with seating for 4. This room for 4 was smaller and set up for 2, except for towels. 2 mugs, no glasses, table for 2, in the furtherest building from the lobby. No carts to move luggage from the car to the building. Not easy for 4-75 year olds.
The Beach location. Having a balcony this time. Housekeeping was considerate.

My room was upgraded but right was right next door to the maintenance crews room and they slammed the door loudly until late in the evening.

Was disappointed that the recreational area was closed all day for a wedding.
Loved the view! Rooms were nice. Location was great. Loved Sloppy Joe's!
