This is a small motel at the outskirts of St. Louis. My wife and I were looking a place to spend the night while on a road trip. The Indian Mound motel was an affordable option, so we thought we'd chance it. Did not know if this will be a decent motel or a bug-infested place with gunshot holes in the wall. To our pleasant surprise, this motel was clean, comfortable, and reasonably well-furnished. If you are looking for a basic, clean, no-frills room to spend a night, there is nothing to complain about at the Indian Mound Motel.

Had we gotten off the interstate to get to the hotel the location wouldn't have seemed sketchy but we drove through town and it was kinda sketchy but once we were on the property we knew we were okay and safe.

Price was good! Room was clean! Shower was hot and water pressure was good. Easy access to interstate.

It is an older hotel in and old part of east St. Louis. Seemed a little risky and in an impoverished area of town. Hotel a little dated but ok

There is a busy road that runs behind the hotel. There was some noise when larger trucks went by. The blow dryer in the room worked but someone had pushed the button in ( probably should be replaced)

The staff was very pleasant and the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if I travel through the area.

Has vinyl plank floor instead of carpet which is nice but needs a wet mopping. Every shower my bare feet were filthy. But everything gave the appearance of clean. Staff was conscientious and probably one family. Room had Microwave and fridge

No breakfast. Excellent location for business in downtown St. Louis, literally six minutes away. Safe neighborhood. Has all normal room amenities including large tv with cable.

That half of the road on each side in front of hotel is closed and the way Google maps re routes you , u drive in unnecessary areas and really a huge circle to get to the little side Rd right next to hotel

Hard to get to with part of the road shut down in front of motel. Plus couldn’t get the hot water to cool down to take a shower.

Since the smoker rooms are upstairs the smell comes down through the vent in the bathroom. You can hear the neighbors or the people upstairs as well as everything outside. Besides that everything was great.

The room is small but it has its value. It's in a good location. Closed to the city of st. Louis but far away from the busiest crowd of it. The place is clean. The bed was clean with 3 pillows and I checked for stains. It was all cleared from stains and bugs which is a PLUS. No toilet yellow stains, clean tub, and enough towels. It has a microwave and a good fridge. I didn't check the TV but it has one too. A nice little table with a chair to do work, enjoy a meal, or just unwind while you enjoy a coffee or a drink. The room could have been cleaner - windowsills and corners were a bit dusty. It would also be good to have information about WiFi somewhere in the room - we forgot to ask for the password when we checked in (admittedly quite late) and then couldn't find it out until the next morning.

The rooms were basic but comfortable - especially the beds, which were much appreciated after a long day on the road! The staff were friendly and helpful.
