Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesUpon check-in, we were assigned a room on the 8th floor. Knowing that the elevator was quite slow, we asked for a room on a lower floor. We were then assigned a room on the first floor. That room is close to the lobby area (it's a small hotel) and one of the staff who has a BOOMING voice was speaking loudly until 11 p.m. We asked to be moved again the next morning and were moved back to the 8th floor. There you have it. There weren't many people in the hotel that week, so the slow elevator wasn't such a problem.
Hotel is conveniently located near the theatre district, Lincoln Center, and Central Park, plus subway lines. It's also very quiet, especially for being in such a busy area. Lots of good restaurant close by, in addition to museums. I also like the little lounge on the 2nd floor where we can get coffee and tea, and there's also a table in case we get takeout food.

United StatesI would have gave this hotel a 10, if it had more space. We didn't have anywhere to put our things. Most of our clothes stayed in the suitcase or in the window and the bathroom had very little space as well.
I loved the location, the hospitality of the staff, and the convention parking next door.

United StatesThe rooms are tiny. I know this is expected with New York but we have stayed in time square before and the rooms were sizable. These you could barely open the door with your luggage. Our heat got stuck and we had to get a window opened. Some of the staff were not extremely helpful or friendly.
The location was great just a short walk to most things. Some staff were extremely friendly.

United StatesThe bed was a little too firm and that’s just a personal preference. Everything else was wonderful.
It was a nice little breakfast. The pastries were good and they had yogurt and some fruit and cereal. The lounge was cute that they set up their little breakfast in and it kept us full until lunch:) Super close walk to Times Square and Central Park. Hopefully we can definitely stay here again!

United StatesBreakfast was a swing and miss! Every time we walked to the breakfast room, the baked goods were gone. Good coffee and fruit though.
The location was perfect for our plan to attend dinners, theaters and Central Park. The bed was fine, good mattress. We had the mini suite that was very comfortable.

AustraliaThe decor was wild but fun and the lift quite slow ( I suppose in keeping with an old building). The hotel was expensive but at the lower end of properties in New York.
The location was terrific! Between Broadway and 7 th Avenue and Times Square and Central Park gave you easy access to theatres, museums, subway and lots of attractions. There were 5 good restaurants almost next door! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was small but had everything you needed. The breakfast provided was simple and basic but saved a cost in a very expensive country.

United StatesThe wifi was very slow as the day went on. Also, even though we turned off the heating, the small room still got warm and stuffy. The carpet was a little tired.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. Walking distance to lots of places to eat, Time Square and many theaters. The front desk staff and bellman/security people are friendly, helpful and their biggest asset. We loved having the grab and go breakfast and beverages available on the 2nd floor lounge. We also made use of the lounge a number of times to just hang out and enjoyed having that space. The room and bathroom was clean and the bed was firm but comfortable.

United KingdomBooking.com advertise this hotel with breakfast. However they do not offer breakfast, it is 'grab and go' coffee/pastry/yoghurt from the lounge (if there is enough pastries) Our greeting on arrival was terrible, the lady, without saying hello or welcome, immediately told us the room wasn't ready even though we arrived at check in time, upon being asked why, she said because we've been busy so the rooms aren't ready- no apology etc. Turns out she wanted to clock off her shift, as the room was ready- she just didn't want to check us in. Meanwhile the rest of the staff couldn't be more friendly/apologetic for her attitude and we're all very helpful. Aircon is ridiculously loud, but it's kind of a white noise once you get used to it. No mirror in room, only in bathroom. Room was slightly too small if living out of large suitcases/nowhere to put cases and no clothes storage. Scaffolding currently up all round hotel entrance. Horrendous smell outside, but not related to the hotel.
Location was perfect, room was clean and comfortable

United KingdomThe breakfast they advertised was not really very substantial. They had a few pastries and a small selection of cereals. If you were not down at 7am precisely these had mostly gone and there were several times we were waiting for pastries to be replenished. Looking back at historical reviews this has been an issue at the hotel for a while. It is not a major problem, if you are expecting it, but if you were hoping to get a substantial breakfast to fuel a full day of sightseeing, this is not what is available at the hotel.
Location was great. Staff were friendly. Room size was fine.
