Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Switzerland- I can understand that NYC is a big city and it is hard to have everything spotless, but I think with a little more care the cleanliness could be improved - The AC and the mini fridge were a little loud in our room - Rooftop is only for private events and the Summer club was closed (although this is a completely separate entity from the hotel)
Location is great if you would like to see Manhattan.

United Statesfirst of all, the description on booking.com is inaccurate. there is no breakfast, free or otherwise. they have a coffee service for a few hours in the morning. no 24hr self serve coffee and tea like much cheaper hotels. rooms had superficial style. everything was very cheap on closer look. tv was bolted to the desk so you couldn't angle it towards the bed. not that you were missing much since they were 10 year old flat screens with no ability to stream. staff was very rude upon checkout. I was late leaving the room and they were calling and banging on the door 5 minutes after checkout. when I left the room, there was some bouncer dude standing outside my door. very disturbing. I realize I was in the wrong for being late, but don't treat customers like they're criminals. they had my card on file, so they could have just charged me if they were desperate to turn the room over. no need for that aggressive approach. they made it clear that they do not want me to return, and I'm ok with that.

United KingdomWe had some plumbing issues in the bathroom. But it was sorted by us without fuss.
It was in a quiet area surrounded by film studios. It was a 10/15 minute walk to the subway and NYC ferry . We never felt unsafe while we were there even in the evenings. I think is more lively in the summer months when the pool is open but the quiet suited us for our stay. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room, bathroom and balcony was a good size for a family of four.

United KingdomThe only real issue that I would have to mention is the AC fan. It was so noisy I actually turned the AC off. Luckily, it wasn't hot, so it was not a problem for me, and there were a few midnight boy racers in cars giving it beans, with popping and cracking exhausts at 3.00 and 4.00 am, but that not the hotels fault, the only other thing to be aware of, is the distance to the nearest Underground MTA, it's about a 15 minute walk.
I booked a superior king room, which was a really good-sized room, a fantastic wrap around balcony, with amazing views over Manhattan and Queens. The staff were very helpful and polite, and the bed was huge and comfortable, I would definitely stay there again if I'm back in NYC.

DenmarkThere is a lack of information in regards to bringing your pets. It's a pet friendly place, but you won't know the size restrictions, the costs, and general rules until the day you check in, which can be pretty frustrating and ruin your trip. But we managed to sort it out.
