We loved staying here. The breakfast was so good and the staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. We arrived late and they arranged a chesse board which was so lovely. It's the small details that made this a repeat stay for us when we come back! Thank you to all the staff!

Absolutely everything was amazing about La Fontaine. Firstly the incredible warmth and hospitality of the staff, who were always on hand for anything required, without ever being overbearing. There were also so many staff, you never had to search for someone to assist. The hotel itself was beautifully and stylishly furnished, we had an extremely comfortable suite, We also absolutely loved the warmth of the lounge/bar area. Unfortunately the weather was not good enough to sit outside or try the pool! And the location was perfect, literally under a minute's walk to the main high street with all of its excellent restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel was delicious. To add to this, a few days before our stay I contacted the hotel to say I wanted to propose to my girlfriend during our stay. Kim and her staff went out of their way to make it an extra special surprise proposal. We will definitely be returning to La Fontaine on a regular basis.

The lost room was lovely but if your tallish then watch the A frame walls/ceiling. My husband kept hitting his head.

We loved absolute everything.

Stunning boutique hotel in the centre of Franschhoek. From the moment we arrived the staff in the hotel made us feel so welcome, the service was outstanding from all the staff. They took time help you with any requests, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has a wonderful chilled feeling, the decor has been done so well both for the interior and outdoor areas. We had a lovely room (no. 2), it was spacious, extremely clean and the bed was fantastic for a good nights sleep after busy days. There were some nice complimentary touches such as free drinks on arrival and champagne before we went to a wedding. The breakfasts were amazing, especially the blue cheese tartine, a great variety and abundance of fresh produce, we were spoilt for choice. The manager Kim and all her staff are a credit to the Oyster group, if you like first class friendly service in a small boutique hotel La Fontaine is the place to stay to have a memorable stay.

The parking situation was a bit tricky. We got parked on once and luckily found the owner of the car, but if we had wanted to go in & out more often with our own vehicle it would have been very difficult.

Large comfortable bedroom alongside the pool area. Location is perfect, a short walk from the main street. Staff are all outstanding, and made this stay extra special. Very tasty outdoor breakfasts, with the best breads ever!

Good location. Beautiful & clean. Felt so comfortable & the staff were so welcoming, felt like family. Rooms very well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They all went that extra mile to make our stay the best experience we had ever had. Kim the manager drove us to a location as we could not wait for a Uber, which was so very kind of her.

Great location, right in the centre of town at Franschhoek. Choice of two small pools, plenty of seating and outdoor space. Beautiful lounge / bar area and small shop. Tasty breakfast with plenty of choice. Best part was the staff who were incredibly helpful with making restaurant bookings and offering advice on where to go. Don’t have a bad word to say about this place and we will most definitely be back!

Parking a little tricky but help was on hand! Parking outside in the road also possible.

Great location in a quiet setting but only 5 minutes from centre of town. Very friendly welcome with assistance for luggage. Lovely bedroom in main building, one of the smaller rooms but still very comfortable. Two swimming pools both in attractive surroundings. Complementary afternoon tea and cake. Attractive bar and lounge. Great choice at breakfast. What more could you ask for? We hope to return.

The only thing about the hotel people might not like is they don’t have a restaurant but when we arrived they arranged 2 restaurants for us

Everything was perfect!

The breakfast was exceptional. The staff could not have been more helpful. We had first hand experience of dealing with Michaela, Franklin and Maria and they were all wonderful, but so were all the other staff we interacted with. Nothing was too much trouble.

The flooring in the bedroom was not the most comfortable to walk on!

Breakfast was very good, well prepared. Staff were amazing, very friendly, super helpful. The room was lovely - huge bed! Shower was excellent. This is a fantastic base to explore from and it feels like returning home.
