The location was convenient, the room was wonderful (and much larger than it appeared in the pictures), and the futon beds were comfortable. We also appreciated the helpful and accommodating staff, and enjoyed relaxing in the onsen. We would absolutely stay here again.

The service is great. They offer Coffee and tea in the afternoon. The breakbast was limited but OK. The bathroom was clean. The beds were confortable. They offer a ticket to the onsen nearby which was excellent.

We only stayed one night but it was worth it. We were looking into a traditional Ryokan experience and that’s what we received. The complete staff was super kind, they welcomed us, received our bags before check in and later when we came up they welcomed us with tea and local sweets. In the night we had our kaiseki dinner (13 courses) it was a lot but definitely an experience to remember. Not good tho for sensitive paladars, be prepared to eat everything. The girl who served as our host was super nice and explained us everything. The private bath was also a highlight. We loved every second.

Really great place to stay, only 3 rooms in it. Very helpful personnel! Authentic feeling, we even had a samurai armor in the room. The place is located in one of the quiet but landmark streets/ locations - Ishibekoji which is a landmark of its own. Great place to stay in Kyoto if you are looking for authentic ryokan feeling.
