Splendid decor, great use of colour. Comfy rooms, lovely details - the bathroom floor, for example, or the wallpaper in the room entrance. Very, very nice bar for an evening aperitif and nice restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.

The breakfast was nice and really cosy in the main building, a great opportunity to meet and talk with fellow travelers. The garden is really nice and peaceful, we even saw a bunny and squirrels there. The whole place is really nice and cosy.

Loved visiting the historical sights as well as experiencing the enthusiasm of the volunteers at the car museum, on the same block as the Tennis Hall of Fame which we also visited. It is easy to get around Newport; and when you talk to the locals, you learn a lot. Absolutely loved our ocean drive...on Ocean Drive!

The trolley ride with Viking was excellent.
The trolley ride with Viking was excellent. The view from the trolley and the knowledge of the driver (who gave the tour throughout) was excellent. We purchased a tour with a museum ticket included (Breakers). The Mansion tour is very nice - be sure to bring headphones for your smartphone for the tour (it is recorded - not a live person). The walk along the cliff is very nice - take the regular bus line to the south end and then walk all the way back ($2.00 ). Definitely worth it, but beware that the first leg of the cliff walk from the south is not paved and is a bit of rock hopping but still easy).

Newport is an amazing little city, so many mansions to see no tour through, lots of history here, many old buildings, great nuts l history with the Americas Cup. Lots of high end boutiques no gllerie, and two world class car museums. Summer it’s very busy, best time to visit is when it’s almost heading into Autumn as the wether is still good but the crowds have largely gone.

Newport is one of our favorites.
Newport is one of our favorites. You can walk to 80% of all nice to visit stores, restaurants, bars, scenic venues, museums, arts, etc.
Traffic is moderate to heavy, but it moves along quite nicely to reach out beyond the main part of Newport.
Newport has everything your looking for, and more!

Classy and hip town with loads of history, amazing food and tons to do! Absolutely loved all the preserved houses from the 1800's -- it gives Newport such a cool vibe. Lots to do with visiting all the Marble Mansions (the Breakers is my favorite and definitely worth the visit! We got the all access pass and were able to see multiple properties). The cliff walk is scenic and beautiful -- a fabulous 3.5 mile hike. Multiple beaches to go to. National park and lighthouse. Sailing museum and Tennis Museum. Bowen's Wharf and walking Thames St./American's Cup ave. 22Bowens, the Mooring and Midtown Oyster Bar were all fantastic restaurants. Super family friendly. Totally walkable but they also have a free trolley that brings you up and down Newport. 10/10 -- cannot wait to go back!

The breakfast was outstanding and a real surprise; the guests ate together in the dining room which made for interesting and helpful conversations. Wine and cheese was also offered in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the wonderful sites of Newport. The bathroom was a very generous size.
Hospitality, very comfortable, like staying in someone’s home. Location second to none! Welcome to come and go as we pleased and Denise and her husband were both really welcoming and gave brilliant advice about what to do or where to eat and had great tips for us as we had never been to Newport before. We will definitely be back!
The location was phenomenal. The Inn is at the bottom of the main "downtown" area for Newport, so we could just step outside and head north until we found something that piqued our interest. Plus, being right on top of the bar, it was easy to find any wayward group members when we needed to regroup: They were at the bar.
The interior of the apartment was nice and it was convenient to downtown Newport - within walking distance if you like a long walk. The area was beautiful! The ability to park in the lot behind the Inn was a godsend, as parking in Newport can be difficult and very expensive.
