I was greeted by their laid back and kind reception. View from top balcony helped me with my birding and getting some grasp of the Dangriga city. It was walkable distance to the main street to grab snacks or go to bar. New clean paintjob in my room made me very comfortable to stay!

The town is very nice, a little bit underdeveloped but you can see the great possibilities for growth there. Not a posh place for sure, but pretty friendly and picturesque. Good food, a laid-back atmosphere.

Stay here, if you have to (e.g. on the way to somewhere else). The town has nothing to offer and the beach really isn't nice (sand, but not the nice white one, and in the water it is shallow and muddy and there is garbage on the shore).

Dangriga isn't a huge town.
Dangriga isn't a huge town. Most people same to stay one night on their way to or from the cayes. You can probably walk most of the town in a day. A few good places to eat and to try Garifuna food. Tuani Garifuna and Island Breeze bar and grill are worth a try. Also took lunch at the Riverside Cafe.
Try a smoothie from O's enterprises near the bridge on the corner of Havana Street.
I was saddened by the amount of pollution along the beachside.

NOT any bikes. false advertising. leaves you stranded a very long was from town. cabin is ok and beach front great and private. donot trust booking co to have cab at airport waiting.or one for trip back to airport.
I certainly recommend a room with a sea view, seeing the youngsters ride horses by the sea certainly added to the atmosphere. The room was good, comfy bed with a bed cover for additional comfort (much appreciated as in Belize it seems to be the norm to have just a sheet). TV, fridge in the room. Good location close to the local restaurant just over the bridge, also close to bus station. The hotel is right next to the beach, has its own little beach portion of sand just for guests and cleaner that the average of what could be seen in the area.
Air conditioning was excellent and really appreciated on a hot sweltering day. TV had cable and we enjoyed watching an assortment of American sports.
In walking distance to supermarket (10 minutes) and restaurants/bars (10 minutes). In walking distance to port for water transfer to Tobacco Cayes (10 minutes).
The gentleman running the place was super friendly and helped us arrange taxis. The room had a kettle and coffee making facilities. The hotel had everything we needed for our overnight stay.
we loved it!! the breakfast is incredible. she gives it a personal touch every morning. home made breakfast; delicious. she also told us about the history of Dangriga. she takes the time for you.
very lovely and friendly people!!
we had problems with the airconditioning. we told them about it and they emidiately prepared another house for us. for us it was a free upgrade to a better room/house. before we had the suite.
the room is clean.
highly recommended!!
Coffee and bananas were complimentary
The shower featured a strong flow of hot water!!
Staff was willing to contact Garifuna Museum for opening hours, and to provide directions.
The window was screened to keep out bugs!
Owner was very friendly.
We enjoyed a comprehensive guided tour of the museum while in Dangriga. Alas, the museum did not include recordings of the various genres of Garifuna music.
I was grateful they served coffee and bananas for breakfast. Most locations in Dangriga do not offer anything like that. I also really loved that there was more than 1 bed in our room. If I had been traveling with more people, this would be the place to stay on a budget HANDS DOWN. The room had AC, hot water for the shower and everything you need for a comfortable night of rest.
Clean & comfortable, nice pool! Good location for checking out Dangriga, Hopkins and the Cockscomb & Bocawina National Parks. Lovely hosts, warm & personal touch. Marie Sharps factory round the corner - go check it out! Good value at 20 BZD per person (10 USD) and includes tasting of all their sauces, jams and juices! Great spot to buy them too, good value.
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Wonderful staff, good food and drinks though they seemed to run out of things. There really isn't much to do in Dangriga or at this hotel. It was really just for an overnight stay before leaving for our island resort. The hotel served it's purpose in that respect. Nice and close to the airport.
Very nice family run hotel. The owners are extremely nice, there are always water, coffee and bananas downstairs for guests and the rooms are clean and nice. Good place to discover Dangriga, which is a place where one can see a piece of everyday life in Belize before or after visiting the wonderful cayes.
I was the only tourist in the whole town of Dangriga it seemed. I am sure I am not alone in saying Dangriga is a gem in the rough, it's a major transportation hub, it has an airport. If only they cleaned up those beaches and dumped some sand, it would quickly become a big draw for tourist.
I was greeted by their laid back and kind reception. View from top balcony helped me with my birding and getting some grasp of the Dangriga city. It was walkable distance to the main street to grab snacks or go to bar. New clean paintjob in my room made me very comfortable to stay!
nice little island the Pelican Beach Resort shares with 2 other resorts. The island is ideal for snorkeling, kayaking (the resort offers the respective equipment) or simply relaxing in a hammock under the coconut palms. the staff is super friendly and helpful.
The people at the Chaleanor Hotel do their utmost to provide the help you need. From dinner suggestions to where to find the laundromat, they are very helpful and friendly. We very much appreciated the air conditioning and cleanliness of our room.
There was no breakfast, nor any coffee nor any sort of amenities. The ride in to town is 3 miles, and not accessible without a cab. There are no stores nearby. Best to do your shopping on your way out to the property.
The manager of the hotel was very helpful. She arranged a boat trip to Tobacco Island and stayed with me to make sure I got on the boat. The hotel was close to a restaurant and had a view of the beach.
You basically have a private beach to yourself. The furnishings are relatively modern and the place is clean. Good price and value, which is hard to find in Dangriga.
