Dinner was great, as was breakfast, and there were much better gluten-free options this time.

Friendly welcome, staff experience was delightful. Beautiful house and surroundings. Pity that the driving range kiosk appears to have been damaged in a storm? Well worth rebuilding it as it is an excellent addition to the estate.

The breakfast had a good selection, catering to various tastes and preferences. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, making for a restful stay.
Although we didn't have the opportunity to try dinner at the hotel's restaurant, the menu looked appealing, and the dining area seemed inviting. I hope to experience it on a future visit.
The standout aspect of our stay was the staff. They were welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. They went above and beyond by booking a taxi for us the next day, which was greatly appreciated.

Lovely to spend time with a family in their home. Stephen and his family were friendly and relaxed. A very pleasant stay.
Ballina is a friendly and very interesting town. There are many places of interest with interest boards and murals explaining about people and places. The Jackie Clarke Collection is well worth a visit, and it is free. You can read about many people and events in the town and surrounding area then go visit them. It is clear the War of Independence and the Civil War had huge effects upon the town and surrounding area.

Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants in this picturesque town on the river Moy. We can see why Jack Charlton loved the place. We enjoyed watching the anglers waste deep in the river fishing for salmon. We had dinner in the hotel on both evenings and the food was great.

A lovely town, with lots to see and do in the area, nice places to eat, close to many other nice places to visit, so a good base for the area. Get out and enjoy the music and arts, and its ambition to be the most climate friendly town.

Would recommend Ballina for a break , people are lovely, Ballina Manor hotel was so friendly, staff could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble to them. Would definitely go back to Ballina again. Would also definitely go back to Ballina Manor hotel again.
Our hosts were wonderful. We had a long talk about our families, the economy, living and earning a living on a working dairy farm in County Mayo, raising children, immigration, how Ireland and Mayo are changing, agriculture policy and climate change, how EU climate policy affects farm management, and our shared family friendships. Seamus and Marcela are grand people, the food was very fine, their children took our teenager into the work of the farm, and we heard about local places most tourists would miss.
We are not long back from our trip to Ballina. The property was unreal, really nice and cozy. The location is good, about a 5 minute walk to the town centre. Nicola is a great host, everything has been thought off, from leaving a welcome snack and a welcome sign to books and board games to use. I could not fault this property, it is spotlessly clean and the beds are also very comfy. You won't regret staying here! Thank you again Nicola ☺️
If your looking for an authentic irish stay without the frills but couldn't be more welcoming and real without giving up any amenities, this is the place. Eileen and Steven Mchale will make you feel at home and be attentive to any need without being intrusive. The location is rural, wild and beautiful Near to Ceide Fields, Downpatrick Head and Ballina

Quiet and safe location within easy reach of the beautiful beaches of North Mayo and Sligo. Great garden for the dogs. Right at the edge of Belleek Woods so a a lovely pace for a walk in the evening. When restrictions are eased it would also be pleasant to walk to Jack Fenns restaurant in the evening as it is situated in the woods. Our hosts were very helpful and very informative.
Lovely welcoming stay and warm local hospitality of County Mayo. Stayed here while visiting Downpatrick Head and local area. A real home from home. Enjoyed our chats and home cooked meals and you are made feel at home from the moment you arrived.
Thank you again we really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location with grounds/ park walkway with historical points relating to the property, family and local history. The rooms are amazing and highly recommend dinner. We were greeted by the hotel staff and enjoyed the library/bar area. Breakfast was wonderful too. An amazing experience.
This is a beautiful property (rooms and communal areas finished to very high standard) in a beautiful location, between two beaches and near lots of Mayo attractions. On site animals which my daughter loved feeding every morning. Great welcome from hosts. Fabulous breakfast. Will return.
very convenient to the bus stop. Right in town center. room was up a flight of stairs and has just been remodeled to include USB ports! only spent one night in Ballina And slept well. Having the restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast and lunch was great.
The spacious grandeur of the lobby and the dining hall overlooking theRiver Moy
The food was good. The hotel is undergoing renovation on the floor above but there was no noise or problem with this. We had free parking in the underground garage.
Spotlessly clean house, comfortable bed linen, lots of space for everyone in our party of 5 adults. House equipped with everything needed for stay. Central location to tour Sligo and Mayo. Lots to see and do, places to eat and drink and shop.
Had the most amazing stay at The Woodlands. The hosts were beyond accommodating and made both my partner and I feel welcomed. To top it off you wake up to the most stunning view. I cannot wait to stay here again on my next trip to Ireland!
Beautiful old hotel in the heart of Ballina.
Friendly staff and nice facilities. Food was wonderful and the staff was really nice too. Especially the ladies in the hotel restaurant were so nice!
Breakfast and dinner was great!
The hotel has everything going for it. The location in a beautiful part of the country, the services in the hotel, the great restaurant, and the wellness facilities make this a firm favourite when we travel to Mayo.
Exceptionally clean, very spacious and comfortable and a great location either to explore Ballina or as a base for other parts of Mayo and Sligo. The hosts were lovely to deal with, great communication throughout.
The staff were so welcoming at the hotel and the room was extremely clean! very close to the centre of ballina too, food and drinks in the bar was very nice! all the staff was so accommodating and friendly
