Beautiful old city with excellent bus and rail services only...
Beautiful old city with excellent bus and rail services only 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Plenty museums to visit and the oldest university in the Netherlands, Botanical gardens and Rembrandt's home and studio. Canal cruises and cycle hire to explore the outer part of the city. Plenty places to eat. We tended to eat at the restaurant near the hotel. Ideal location to visit both Delft and the Hague from. Would hope to return again. I travelled with 18 members of my family and stayed in the Rembrandt Hotel. Everyone thought Leiden was an excellent location to visit Keukenhof, Delft and the Hague from.

Great town and central to day trips all over the Netherlands...
Great town and central to day trips all over the Netherlands. Much more pleasant than staying in Amsterdam and only a short 20 minute train ride directly to Schiphol Airport. Could not be more convenient and relaxing.

Leiden is a great place to stay.
Leiden is a great place to stay. It’s like staying in a mini Amsterdam without as many people. Lovely canals to walk around and lots of small individual places to eat. Very peaceful to stroll around with a lovely market held on Saturday and Wednesdays. We took one of the walking tours around the town which you can buy at the local tourist information office. Also enjoyed going up the Windmill, but be prepared for a steep climb down. Well worth a visit!

Lovely city to walk in.
Lovely city to walk in.
All the people we met and staff in bars and hotel were helpful and friendly.
Sadly only had time for one visit - to Hortus Botanicus- which was well worth the time.
Would plan to visit again.

Leiden and its surrounding offers you a lot if you like...
Leiden and its surrounding offers you a lot if you like walking in beautiful old cities alongside canals. A windmill that is seemingly so simple can explain Dutch social history but there are many other interesting museums as well, and a very special botanical garden. Public transport is well organised (except on special days) and you can reach gems outside the city like Spinoza house or lakeside restaurant. The sea is not far away either.
The hotel is situatated in the heart of Leiden and very close to the main station. Convinience shops are around the corner and historical Leiden is just a short stroll away. Staff was excellent. Our flight was cancelled and so we arrived after 9pm when the desk was shut. Staff went out of their way by opening the hotel and allowed us to check in around 11pm. This was really, really appreciated.
The unit was located in a good location with easy access to the train station and to central area of Leiden. The unit was in good condition and was comfortable. The host had many pamphlets and guides available to find out about the offerings of the city. There was even a binder of details on how to operate the appliances and contact details. It was well organized and helpful.
A wonderful experience in every possible way. The property is beautiful and perfectly located (as are many boutique hotels), but the attentiveness and graciousness of the staff is what sets it apart. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Leiden from now on!
Lovely hotel, in an old townhouse in central Leiden but not too central (away from the party boats!), on a fairly quiet side street. Nicely decorated and the most comfortable bed I've slept in in a long time! Self check-in and in-person check-out were both easy.
Absolutely close to Leiden station and bus stop. Ideally located, with nice places to eat within walking distance. You can board direct bus to Keukenhof from here and literally would have to just walk out of your hotel. Staff was super friendly and very helpful.
The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious, and the building was old and beautiful. The location was fantastic - wonderful street, very central and walkable to cafes, restaurants, the university, and Leiden Centraal. I would absolutely stay here again.
The boutique hotel is located in the most picturesque part of Leiden; situated in a 200 year old building; near musea, the Botanical Gardens, entertainment.
The interior is modern and tasteful.
The staff is attentive, kind and most helpful
This hotel is a gem, wonderfully situated close to the station but within walking distance of the old center, The Tulip hotel has access to all the benefits of the Golden Tulip, excellent food and charming and friendly staff.
Perfectly fine for an overnight stay for business in Leiden. Conveniently located right next to the train station. Everything as I typically found at an Ibis: reliably clean, comfortable, simple, nothing particularly exciting.
We had a great time in the Rembrandt hotel in Leiden. Checkin was smooth and communication around getting the key and breakfast was well taken care of. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean.
Very friendly staff and access to the gym around the corner is definitely a plus. The hotel is located very close to the train station and city centre!
Nice hotel, very cosy room, location was very good, close to train station, restaurants, town center. Very comfortable bed, the staff was very helpful.
