Great room and balcony. Rooftop pool and terrace was great. Really enjoyed the Rooftop restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the staff in the hotel were really great. We were right on the beach, with also nearby access to coastal boardwalks, great walks and stunning views. We were about 15 / 20 min walk to all other areas of Lagos including the Old Town and Marina. Overall a great place to stay.

With a long and rich history, Lagos is nowadays a famous beach resort of the sunny Portuguese region of Algarve. Including wide sandy beaches and quiet coves enclosed by ochre cliffs, it also offers a lively city centre with one of the best mixes between history and modernity in the region.
King Henry the Navigator chose it as a base for his trips of discovery during the 15th century, and later on, it became the residence of the Algarve governors. The Old Town is circled by medieval walls, typical narrow streets, historic buildings and charming squares. B&B’s and hotels in Lagos’s historic centre allow you to enjoy these picturesque surroundings.
Apart from being an important centre for sailing, the city has amazing beaches, like Meia Praia or Praia da Dona Ana. Resorts and hotels on Lagos’ beaches are the perfect choice for sun lovers, while the hotels near the modern Lagos Marina are popular, as they are both close to the centre and the railway station.
The city is 90 km from Faro Airport, and 24 km from Portimão. Check out the Lagos hotels deals on Booking.com before travelling!

Lagos is very attractive town with a beautiful marina and beaches around, especially charming and very picturesque Camilo Beach, which is located maybe 200 metres from stunning Ponta da Piedade rocks. I would highly recommend to visit Lagos, when you travel to Algarve.

I wanted to compare it to my trips to Malaga ,Torremilinos and Marbella. The people here are friendly and more laid back and was impressed with the recce on the golf courses by train.I need more study on long stays for golf but intially am optimistic on my future retirement plans.I would like to see a package on all inclusive, golf and car for a 2 week period if this gets out there to some agency. If you could tye this into a cruise company from a trans Atlantic crossing from FLL,I would be in! Sure would be a great March or April away from the snow.
Why do you not do a puddle jumper to Madiera? You have the airport.

Lagos is a very busy tourist destination.
Lagos is a very busy tourist destination. Plenty of activities on and around the water and historical sites to be seen in the town. But it's not the place for a low-key, quiet and peaceful holiday,

Beautiful place to be with the family, including a 2,5 years old boy. There a lot of beaches around and everything is walkable. You can as well take the train that goes around the beaches. The daily ticket is only 5.50 euros per adult for unlimited rides. There is a very nice market which is very good.

We have relatives and friends in Lagos.
We have relatives and friends in Lagos. It's a nice size of town with character. The marina and river promenade are lively colourful areas in which to walk. There are some nice old buildings and masses of bars and restaurants. The Slave Museum is a must - a well-curated exhibition on a difficult subject.

We visited in March and most restaurants/cafes are open.
We visited in March and most restaurants/cafes are open. Amazing choice of places to eat and not expensive. The old town is lovely to wander around, just warning though that the tiles can be slippery if you encounter rain (sadly we did but it didn't deter us)
The walk along the promenade and over to the marina is great plus there are a number of walks along boardwalks which are great.

Hotel reataurant had amazing views (similar to view from our room) and turned out to be one of the best rstaurants in Lagos. Restaurant staff were fun and efficient. 3 minute walk to Praia Dona Ana, trail head to cliff walk to lighthouse was right outnour door, views were incredible. Walk to town (15-20 minutes) had amazing views as well.
Pleasant off season stay at Marina Club Lagos Resort. We had a family suite (bedroom and living room with kitchenette). Good kitchen equipement was convenient for self-catering. The hotel is in the walking proximity of the city centre and also Pingo Doce supermarket. Parking in front of the hotel for free.
All the staff were really lovely and helpful. Ernst recommended and booked us a nice restaurant for the evening. Breakfast was excellent and served in a lovely garden. The location was perfect for us as we wanted something just outside Lagos with parking nearby, and it was nice being on the beachfront.
Zventan is a great host, great with communication!
We loved our stay in Porto de Mos, it’s out of the town but only 30 minute walk or cheap Uber. The beach in front of the property is the best beach in Lagos and the view from the balcony, nothing could compare! We wish we could have stayed longer.
Loved the spacious room, balcony overlooking the garden and pool, decor - especially the tiles. The breakfast was outstanding, I don't think I've ever seen that much choice, even in 5 star hotels.
