It has been nicely done but on a budget, it's a 2 star hotel and given that I would say about the best you could get, I'd even say it should be maybe above this and could be with a bit of refurbishment. Incredibly clean, not seen a hotel with so much attention to cleanliness detail.
Staff are super friendly and THERE IS BREAKFAST HERE it's just separate to the hotel run by a different concern.
The views were lovely

A great looking family run hotel with all the comforts you need plus more with the pool, hot tub and sauna. It was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was fabulous. The location in Shanklin was great near to the seafront and the town but also very quiet.

February is not a busy time in Shanklin.
February is not a busy time in Shanklin. Many restaurants did not open until 5 pm. Only found one pub open, the Falcon. It did rain everyday, be sure to take waterproof outfits.
The Happy Haddock was a great place for fish and chips. Service ranges from great to average depending on the girls taking the order. Did eat there three times.

Shanklin is a dear town with a mixture of old and new. The old town is picturesque with plenty of cafes, pubs and eateries. The town is simple with charity shops among a few boutiques and niknak style shops.
The beach front has some nice restaurants with balconies overlooking the sea. There is an arcade and crazy golf centre and plenty of walks nearby.

Shanklin has a lot to off and is quieter than Sandown.
Shanklin has a lot to off and is quieter than Sandown.
There is a good, sandy beach, great for making sandcastles, playing games or just relaxing. There is not far to go to the sea for a paddle or swim.
Shanklin Chine is beautiful and well worth a visit. There are illuminations at night so very pretty. Once paid to enter you can return as often as you wish for a whole week. This is close to the beach and Shanklin Old Village which a beautiful, quaint old world village with thatched roofs.
There is a variety of shops and good places to eat both in the Shanklin Old Village and in Shanklin as well as places to stay.
There is a theatre with good shows.
There is a train station and an excellent bus service with easy access around the island.
This is a great place to stay.

Shanklin is shanklin, i hadnt been to IOW for twenty odd years, this was a weekend to celebrate my wife's 60th the island itself, isn't what is was, overall very tired. local delicacies aren't local anymore Clotted cream seems to be shipped in pre packaged portions from devon and cornwall
very dissapointing and very overpriced
every drive we went on we were met with reroutes due to various reasons,
I used to love the island when i was a child and enjoyed taking my family there as I got older a two day break was quite long enough but there was one highlight that did surprise me Godshill although it has moved with the times and updates a bit, it still retained some of its character, but particularly noteable the car park Still Free after all these years. SHOCK!

The breakfast was delicious, lots of hot dishes to choose from as well as toast, cereal and fruit and yoghurt. Friendly, family run hotel, the rooms were very comfortable and spotless. The area was great with lots of shops, pubs and cafes within a 5 minute walk. If you drive you can explore the whole island easily but I must say the bus service looks very good for those without a car. It was my first time to the IOW but I will certainly be going back 🥰
Perfectly located for lift to Lower Shanklin and a short walk from the old village. Sea views from all angles, helpful friendly staff and lovely food. Fantastic bedroom, comfortable beds, Jacuzzi bath and terrace with sea view. PERFECT. We even had a pianist playing one morning over breakfast, a lovely medley of popular tunes.
The location was very convenient, facing the sea, 4 minutes walk to shanklin old village or two minutes walk to the beach. Can’t expect more. The room is super nice, clean and comfy. All of us including my daughter loves it a lot! It is an ideal place for a family holiday!
Lovely hotel overlooking the sea and within walking distance to Shanklin old village and to the esplanade. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Plenty of activities for the family to enjoy all within close reach of the hotel.
I have been coming to Shanklin IoW for many years, and 2nd stay here with fab seaview. Absolutely love the location of this hotel, and the hospitality of the owners accepting my well behaved dog too!
