I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It's an unusual building full of character. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful with ideas on things to do in town. The Hotel is in an excellent location and only a short walk from the train station.

The staff were friendly enough. Room was OK, the beds were not too bad. Bathroom could have done with a bit of repair work.

Partially within the Peak District, Sheffield is best known for being the setting of ‘The Full Monty’, a film whose title means the whole works. Indeed, vibrant Sheffield has the whole works - excellent shopping, great nightlife and an impressive sporting heritage.
It first came to fame during the Industrial Revolution for its pioneering role in the UK steel industry. One technique invented here is commemorated in the name of its most famous theatre – The Crucible, home of the Snooker World Championships.
Close by are the peaceful Winter Gardens with their multi-arched roof. The Peace Gardens are overlooked by the elegant town hall, and the focal building of the impressive Botanical Gardens somewhat resembles Crystal Palace, also by the same architect.
The city’s 2 football teams – Sheffield United and Wednesday – play at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough Stadium respectively. The cutting-edge English Institute of Sport is also based here, and the nearby Sheffield Arena is a prime UK venue for music and entertainment. The best shopping is found in the Meadowhall Centre near Rotherham.
Booking.com’s Sheffield accommodation includes city centre hotels with parking, others by Victoria Train Station, and guest houses near Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport.
There is no aircon in the rooms.
The rooms are a claustrophobic worse nightmare.
A really weird layout.
Parking is over priced and restricted with no guarantee that you’ll have a space if you go out and come back.
The room floor gets wet after a shower and as it isn’t carpet stays wet unless you use your towel.
All of the staff were very friendly and polite.

I was visiting my Grandson at the University just for the weekend. I would have liked to stay longer to go walking in the Peak District. We did go walking Saturday afternoon but would have liked to do more.
Sheffield is a good base for visiting the Peak District. It is also good for Shopping and Eating out.
Would like to return soon.

Sheffield is a brilliant place for a short visit.
Sheffield is a brilliant place for a short visit. There's so much to do. It's a vibrant city with something for everyone – gigs, arts, countryside, shopping, people-watching. Very friendly to visitors. Plenty of trams and buses makes car-free travel easy. If you are travelling by car, allow plenty of time because it can get busy at peak periods. There is plenty of safe parking (try Qpark) but it's not cheap.
First time I'd been to a show at the City Hall, and I'm really impressed by the venue. Look up at the painted ceilings. Very comfortable seats, and excellent views of the stage.

The absolute chaos in the middle of town.
The absolute chaos in the middle of town. Why they couldn’t do one bit and finish it before going on to another part, I don’t know. There was only work being done on limited zones so planning could have caused far less inconvenience.
Also, it was very annoying that we couldn’t hail a taxi and had to walk through the cold and wet to get one and be inconvenienced by walking around all the scaffolding etc!
We loved the restaurants, however. Pizza Express was very helpful with our three small nieces and nephew. Piccolino made us very welcome and had delicious food. We also ate at Ask Italian, altogether positive.
The potholes and lumpy roads made driving around very scary.

We were visiting the Peak District for the second time and stayed at the Hilton as it worked out cheaper for the amount of time we were staying and is only a short drive away from all the countryside destinations we visited - around 20-25 minute drive
First of all the location - the hotel is a short walk from the train station and Sheffield city hall.
The staff was nice and answered our questions prior to booking.
The room is very spacious and clean, bigger than we thought! Very comfortable bed.
The shower stream is strong,
the natural soaps are amazing.
It's a big plus to be able to have both a shower and a bath to choose from.
The air conditioning was working great.
The view is amazing.
It was overall a very good experience.
Would totally recommend and go again.
The location of the studio I have stayed in was very special, close to the facilities in the city centre such as groceries, restaurants, cafes, cinema, the train station, as well as universities, also you can discover Sheffield by visiting the museums, galleries and other places which makes this a great and wonderful place to stay.
Everything at the studio is clean, tidy and you can find all what you need. Thanks a lot!
The hotel is close to West Street but far enough to not hear the noises of nightlife. The hotel is managed by a church community which I didn't even realise before booking. The room was tidy and I got an okay sleep even though the bed wasn't the comfiest. I was really pleased that I was able to leave my bag after check out. They have a spare room dedicated to your luggage which is kept locked.
Location was great - really close to the city centre. parking available £5 which was CHEAP, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Excellent hotel
Lovely welcome.
We booked a basic room but was given a free upgrade. Lovely big room, fab shower and a comfy bed.
Kettle in room with tea, coffee, milk etc.
We had delicious Traditional English breakfast.
Would definitely stay again
Easy parking at the back of the hotel. The location was ideal for us near to the Sheffield Jewish Community synagogue as we do not drive on Saturday. The staff was very helpful and put a small fridge in our room when we requested it and helped with our luggage. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom fairly spacious, modern and clean. Our room was at the back so no street noise.
Communication was excellent. We had 10 of us staying for a stag do and the whole house was an amazing place to stay - well presented, modern, and tidy. Location was perfect for us, less than 10 minutes walk to Sheffield city and for us the other way to a 5 a side centre where we were attending for some stag sports activities. So much cheaper than buying a hotel for the group we had!
Location great for city centre & parking. Hotel very nice, lovely bar area & pleasant helpful staff.
Couldn’t alter A/C in room, so was a little too warm.
But room good & tea & coffee in room. Didn’t have breakfast as lots of cafes down the road much cheaper.
Got a free Costa coffee which was a nice gesture.
All in all I would use again.
I like it all. The room and the hotel are beautifully decorated, and the beds (medium firm, which I like!) and duvets are comfortable. Literally all of us had a sound sleep. Full English breakfast included is lovely. Ample parking space too. The staff are friendly and helpful. Will stay again if visiting Sheffield.
Loved the little fridges on each floor with fresh milk not those disgusting UHT ones. Biscuits too.
Receptionist was lovely as were the restaurant staff. Food was good in the evening. Breakfast- found the bacon rather too well done but otherwise nice. Pretty grounds and near to Sheffield City centre.
The hotel was in a great location for visiting Sheffield City Centre, close to shops, pubs, restaurants and places to visit such as Christmas Markets which we wanted to see.
Hotel is a budget hotel but its only what you need for 1 night if not going to be in it much
The location of the hotel is excellent, within an easy taxi ride of the city. The area is lovely and the grounds large and impressive. It is one of the best located (and best looking) hotels in Sheffield (if you are looking to be out of the city centre).
Stay here a lot. More warm and welcoming than big hotels. Always quiet, great location in one of best areas of sheffield and 10 min walk to pubs restaurants or good part of city centre Division Street. Parking easy too. Chargeable but good price
It was a lovely hotel but personally the distance from the hotel to Sheffield City Centre (especially when you are in Sheffield for a night out) was a bit too far
A lovely little hotel. Room was very spacious and clean. Hotel is ideally situated for trams into Sheffield city centre.
Excellent cooked to order breakfast.
