It is one of the best hostels we have stayed in. The room was a good size, comfortable bed and a great shower. It was very clean and they serviced the room daily. Helpful staff, with easy check-in. The location, if you're visiting the Rock is excellent, a 5 or 6 minute walk in a straight line, to the boarder.
Parking is a problem everywhere, but staff were able to clarify a good solution. If you use the parking lot across the road. Drive your car in and collect your ticket. Turn left once you enter the carpark. There is a machine for payment. Select a time period 1 day or 2 days, etc, and pay for your ticket. It will cost you €7 for each 24-hour period instead of €22.
Located on the promenade of La Línea de la Concepción, AC Hotel La Linea is only 15 km from Sotogrande and 1 km from the city centre. The hotel features a seasonal outdoor pool and sun terrace.

Staff was amazing. Just a bit of old building. Marriot could invest a bit more in the facilities. Even for a 3 stars hotel there could be more upkeep or upgrades. But everything else was great. Comfort location. All you need for a couple nights.
Just 500 metres from the border with Gibraltar, Ohtels Campo De Gibraltar overlooks Algeciras Bay. An outdoor swimming pool and rooms with balconies are on offer in this 4-star hotel.

We were met by our host outside the area and guided into the compound. He was friendly and very helpful and we appreciated his flexibility about our late check in following delays on our journey. The apartment was spacious , clean and comfortable. The fenced garden was a great advantage for the dogs to enjoy play safely.

We didn't explore the area on the Spanish side of the border but did have a great time in Gibraltar.
If you do go to Gibraltar I would recommend doing on the taxi tours up the rock to all the sights and where the Apes are.
Once you have done that you can walk back down into the town and explore that area too.
It saves a lot of walking and the commentary is great to get some history and background of Gibraltar.

I liked the openness , the palm trees, the centenary Draco tree, the Mediterranean vegetation, the lovely sandy beach and lovely sea, the proximity of the market and of the frontier with Gibraltar and the friendliness of the people ready to help and chat.

This hotel is very cheap, especially compared to other hotels in Gibraltar. It is a great choice if you want to visit Gibraltar, stay here any walk to the border for like 10-15 mins.
It is located in La Linea, a very lively town. You can find everything in, it eating, drinking, barber shop, etc.
The reception men are all friendly.
Generally it is clean, especially the toilets.
Wifi working well, in room and in common area.
It offers you the possibility to bring your own food and eat it in the common area.
There's a limited kitchen area where you can make tea or coffee and heat something in the microwave, as well as use kitchen utensils and plates etc. The staff are there 24/7 and they also allow you to leave the bags there for some time after the checkout, which is quite handy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but have the air of a 80s detective movie where the detective checks into a hotel in order to solve a mysterious murder case. All in all, great price per value, definitely would stay again.
The location was excellent for the border with Gibraltar and the La Linea bus station. Handy for MacDonald's and Burger King if you want those sort of meals, and only a short walk into the town centre. Good quality kitchen equipment [e.g. a Smeg Kettle], although it was really too small to attempt any cooking. Shower was powerful though needed to run a couple of minutes to come warm. Basic toiletries provided which was nice. Lots of plug sockets everywhere.
Huge apartment so much more space than we expected. The kitchen had everything you needed. The location is great we could walk to gibraltar airport in 10 minutes and your over the border for less than that. La Linea itself is a lovely town too. The host was lovely and gave great tips on where to go. I will 100% be going back.
Location is great for visiting Gibraltar (10 -15 min walk to the frontier) and a short walk into the restaurants etc in La Linea. Room was very comfortable and good views from the balcony towards Gibraltar and the marina. Staff were friendly especially the cleaning staff. Good selection at the hot and cold breakfast buffet.
It is probably the best hotel at La Linea: great location to park your car and reach Gibraltar by foot. The view on the sea is great and the rooms are quite comfortable and modern. The breakfast included is good and worth the price. Definitely great for a short vacation around this area.
The room was large, very nice, and comfortable, with a balcony that I wasn't expecting. The breakfast was excellent, with many different options (and an orange juice squeezer!). The location was quiet enough, and a short walk to Gibraltar.
We stayed here for a quick overnight and layover to see Gibraltar. Easy walk across the border from here and a nice central location in town with nearby parking. Accommodations are basic, but we got a good nights sleep!
Location is great, both for centre of La Linea as well as Gibraltar. Rooms have only basic furniture but fine if all you want is a place to stay for the night and very good value.
Great views of the rock of Gibraltar from two balconies and a rooftop. Close to the freeway and easy street parking, so can easily use as a base to explore the surrounding area.
Everything you could need was supplied. Convenient for visiting La Linea and Gibraltar. Unique experience with a very relaxing upstairs deck. Free parking.
