Located in a very beautiful area, surrounded by sandstones. I chose to stay in Bluff as it is app. 55 minutes distant from Monument Valley and app. 1.5 hours from Mesa Verde National Park. The cabin was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was really nice and had a good set of lotions for body care. The cabin has access to the garden which is well maintained.
Providing mountain views, Canyon Wren Bed and Breakfast in Bluff provides accommodation, a garden and a shared lounge. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.

Nice rooms, good breakfast, access to balcony. Scenic views all around, cute small hotel.
Small vibrant town in a beautiful setting!
We had breakfast and dinner at the Shack Caffe at the Bluff Resort and enjoyed an amazing dinner at the Smokehouse in town. While a car is needed to get into the town, we then e joyed a stroll around.
We would have liked to have an extra day to explore the area other than the big attractions (Monument Valley, Gooseneck park and the Valley of the Gods) and get to know the city better

La Posada Pintada Inn was one of the three best overnight...
La Posada Pintada Inn was one of the three best overnight stops on our week long trip! The Inn was off the main secondary road by a few blocks so nice and quiet. More for couples and Seniors traveling? Room on the 2nd level (access by stairs). Room was at the top of the stairs so maybe add another privacy curtain since a few guests pass by? Great rear balcony sitting area (shared with another room but enough space for each room. (Maybe add a hint of a divide line?) with a view of the mountain just a very short distance away. Comfortable bed, nice clean room and nice bathroom / shower. with a little extra flair in design! Nice quiet stay! Nice brief morning walk to your right --neighborhood homes -- (or drive) to Fort Bluff Museum (under a mile) or to your left, the nearby jewelry / artwork Trading Post and restaurant (half mile?). This Inn was perhaps the best breakfast on our trip, made to order! Consider a brief stop at the Fort Bluff Museum (free admission but donate a couple dollars or more?) if a history buff and walk the Grounds and watch the video. Amazing true western grit story of faith in how this settlement was founded. Hand made gifts, soft serve ice cream and lemonade) and a small Bakery (both that afternoon and a next morning stop!) and a good brief break for travelers of all ages! Limited local services and hours so plan accordingly! (Dukes for dinner?)

Bluff is a small community with an elementary school,...
Bluff is a small community with an elementary school, convenience store/gas station, one restaurant, and several places to stay. The Twin Rocks restaurant and Trading Post were well worth the stop. The food was excellent, a bit pricey, but the portions were large and could easily be shared. The Trading Post had a fantastic selection of Native American art and jewelry, well worth just visiting, even if you don't buy. Last but not least, the Desert Rose Resort and Cabins is a genuine diamond in the ruff. Reasonably priced, it is a hard resort to leave.

This is an amazing property.
This is an amazing property. We stayed in cottage "B", it had the washer and dryer. Large, beautifully decorated, comfy bed, shame it wasn't a king. Still, that's of very small importance. Air con worked very efficiently and very quiet. Close to several National Parks and the Four Corners (fantastic for First Nations arts and crafts, bought a few beautiful things). Could not recommend more.

Love the quiet and the solitude.
Love the quiet and the solitude. It is a great jumping off point for Bears Ears National Monument and Monument Valley! The only negative I can say about Bluff is it is vey small town so it has very limited dining choices. I would recommend the Twin Rocks Cafe as the best in town!

We picked a spot on the map to stop for the night.
We picked a spot on the map to stop for the night. Couldn't have been happier. Dukes restaurant was fantastic. Friendly staff. Food was excellent. A little bit of a drive to the natuinal parks, but away from the hustle and bustle of Moab. Still good hiking and rock formations in the area and close to Sand Island petroglyphs.
We've done few weeks long roadtrip around US, which was planned for months in advance, and Desert Rose was the most awaited stay - and we really regret staying there only for 1 night. Views from the patio and pool and breathtaking, the overall atmosphere of this place is a very unique experience - which I'm actually struggling to describe with words, but saying that you feel like a book character sounds close enough :) Place is very comfortable and lovely, breakfast very tasty and filling. I highly recommend staying there!
Comfortable, well-built cottage with all the amenities that we needed. This was our 2nd stay and likely not our last. We appreciated the instant ramen noodles, as there weren't many (any?) restaurants open when we were in Bluff. And the countryside around Bluff itself is a stunningly beautiful location. We took a walk along a long dirt road, past the town and into the back country. I could have walked for miles and miles looking at the wild and rocky scenery.
This hotel is Nestled into the cliff. From hotel room to the outside fire pit area and cafe
All are the best. Food in cafe was fresh from smoothies, salad and best pizza ever. You sit in pool or jacuzzi and the view is amazing
Surrounded by cliffs. Attention to detail can be seen all over the property even hiking trails and kids playground. An oasis in the desert. A must stay
I'd had a rough day of driving when I finally arrived here, so Canyon Wren felt like an oasis. I'd also come from Torrey, so Bluff was a big improvement on that. Susan is a wonderful host, and I was lucky to spend a long time at breakfast learning more about the area from her. Great breakfast = late start to Cortez. I was happy for the delay.
One of the best breakfasts I’ve had while staying at a motel. Homemade bread, yogurt and granola plus delicious eggs and sausage all made fresh. Rooms have are large with an old school Taos vibe. If you want a corporate type hotel you won’t like this place- leave it to those who appreciate an organic experience in a lovely setting.
We loved the warm welcome by Susan. Lovely place well decorated and equipped. It was feeling like beeing at home...Wonderful breakfast too. We came from Las Vegas to visit Gran Canyon and Monument Valley and the regress.. But instead of driving back to Williams we continued to Bluff...we did well so and would do it again!
A little gem in southern Utah. Very tastefully decorated and large rooms with everything you’d need. Great location close to the fort but a bit away from the main road. super friendly staff and great home made breakfast. An extra plus for not using single use plastic anywhere.
This cottage (C) is a unique place in Bluff! Brand new, spacious with a modern style that gives you all the comfort you need. Great hospitality by the owner(s)/Andi 🥰
If you are traveling and need a stop over in between Monument Valley and Moab, this is THE place to be!
this place was such a great value! impeccably clean, seamless check in- we arrived late in the evening and the management had kindly left the entrance instructions pinned on a bulletin board. so cute. would stay here again if in the bluff area!
The new building behind the “standard” rooms is really amazing. Great swimming pool, gym and in and outside enough places to relax. Good to know, the hotel provides breakfast (American).
Very spacious, very clean. Lovely to have a whole cabin and loved all the additional touches by the hosts. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Bluff.
Loved loved this hotel!!! Great vibe and atmosphere. The grounds were magnificent. Too bad next door restaurant was not open for breakfast and or lunch.
