The hotel was in a central location near stores, but also close to hiking trails. The owner was super helpful in providing information about what to do in town. The room was modern, comfortable, and airy with a comfy bed and lots of windows.

The proprietor is thoughtful and kind, the bed is very comfortable, the rooms are very nicely decorated, and the interior patio courtyard is a quiet and lovely space to relax.

Lovely scenic location and very peaceful in the first half of June. Good restaurants though opening days were not always clear. Friendly staff. Good hiking facilities and not far from the Spanish border by car or bike! Petit Train ride was a little disappointing though.

Very quiet, lots of restaurants and bars closed. Lovely mountains surrounding. Lovely walk to Lac Oo.
Shame the cable car was closed as we would have liked to go and walk on the ski slopes and didn’t want to drive.

Luchon is a lovely town with all facilities at hand.
Luchon is a lovely town with all facilities at hand. Beautiful park areas and walks around the town were delightful. Disappointing snow conditions meant we could not ski at all, but enjoyed proximity to Spain where we did a lot of shopping for cheap grog and cigarettes as well as take in some of the fantastic scenery in the Spanish Pyrenees.

It's authenticity, friendliness and facilities.
It's authenticity, friendliness and facilities. It has no tackiness whatsoever and is quintessentially French. The market is great, there's lots of restaurants and the gondola to the skiing is right in the town centre.

"Faded Glory" sums it up, I feel.
"Faded Glory" sums it up, I feel. I can imagine it 60 years ago as a fashionable resort, but now there are a lot of poorly maintained buildings, many restaurants are closed or for sale, and while it is still difficult to park on the main street, it is about the only street with anything going for it. Having a car, we were able to drive over the pass into Spain where so many of the buildings were new and the visitors were probably an average of 30 years younger.
We also visited the Hospice de France, 10km up the hill, where we had planned to do some walking, but it rained and the cloud came down!

Look, Luchon is alive during the day, we feel it through the noise of motards... the grand-father clock only wake up in the morning ate 8,oo o'clock. During the night it's a wonderfil silence, so it's very good to rest in peace. There, we have many, many good restaurants. Then how many chances to walk... places to go by bike or by car. You have the small "City train"... all the mountains around Luchon ( les Cols du Tour de France dans les Pyrénées... ). You are near Lourdes, Andorra, Toulouse... and also near Spain !... And in winter you have the chance for Skying...
Super friendly girl working on the reception when we arrived, couldn't have been more helpful with recommendations for restaurants etc. The hotel is small, very quaint and has a lovely terrace overlooking the valley behind. The town itself is very quiet at night, but there are a few good restaurants and it seems to be based heavily on the spa, which was closed for renovations when we were there. The room was very modern, well equipped and no faults whatsoever. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Vic and Geoff were so welcoming and helpful. The food was great, particularly considering they happily accommodated my last minute request to join them for dinner when I was the only vegetarian! The chalet and the rooms are lovely, and overall it felt more like staying with friends than in a hotel.
The Staff was exceptionally accommodating. The swimming pool was heaven on a hot day. The restaurant right next door had good food. We were happy to pay 10 euros for secure parking. The other members of my party were a couple and a 9-year old. They were pleased with their room as well.
Located in the heart of Bagneres de Luchon with good parking facilities to the rear of the property (gated and secure) and reasonable at €4/day. Kitchen facilities are good; fridge, cooker and dishwasher (sadly no washing machine though).
Comfortable bed, window opens so you can have lots of fresh air, bidet was nice, lots of hot water in the shower, and a very friendly reception. Free parking was excellent behind a secure gate. The hotel has an old time charm.
Great location in the centre of town. The restaurant was closed in the hotel so didn't have dinner but the breakfast was not great at all.
Very nice room but strong smell of smoke throughout the building.
The hotel was fantastic, amazing value for money. The rooms were nice and very clean, the beds were very comfortable with crisp sheets and the location idea in a lovely part of the town
