Been coming to Merimbula since I was very young. Was great to finally bring my young family! Absolutely love the food and beaches but mostly the people! Everyone is lovely and smiling. Great place to bring younger kiddos too for the safe beach/bay. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed Mid February, just after the School Holidays ended, so the crowds would have been reduced. Still, there was a great "vibe" to the town, beaches, and surrounds. Merimbula was a great starting point to travel up & down the coast visiting other locales, such as Eden, Tathra, and the numerous beaches/parks/lakes along the Sapphire Coast.

Merimbula was suprisingly busy for a country town and traffic was at a standstill in the main downtown area at times. I don't know if this was normal for this time of the year (February). We did a number of day trips to surrounding areas such as Eden, Boydtown, Candelo and Tathra. We had hoped to visit Kameruka but it was closed to the public. Local seafood was good and the oysters, in particular, were delicious.

The room was very clean and comfy.
The room was very clean and comfy. Parking was smooth and easy, right in front of the room. I especially enjoyed the large bathroom and the back veranda. The aircon was also good. Wifi didn't work so well.
Merimbula is a great place for staying and relaxing. The beach boardwalk is beautiful. Nice shopping, restaurants, and cafes. We had a lovely breakfast at MorMors Cafe. The "Top Fun" amusement centre was also a great experience.

Victoria, it was not as busy as what we thought. I enjoyed doing a lot of walks especially the boardwalk trail. Easy to find your way around town.
The Oysters are really fresh. try their oyster factories. don't fall for the $8 per dozen advert though. apparently they are real small oysters. ((probably shouldn't even be harvested). the $20/dozen are a good size.
Try the Wheelers ( Pambula) restaurant. decent food.
Our stay began with a very welcoming host at reception, we also loved the view from the room especially all the bird life that was entertaining to watch. We’ve never seen so many cockatoos and lorikeets in one place! The hotel has a very beautiful outlook over the trees towards the ocean; with the misty rain that was falling we felt as though we were in the clouds. The room was extremely comfortable and well-lit with a great shower and free parking right outside the door. It’s a few minutes drive to lots of food options in Merimbula
A wonderfully and respectfully restored property with beautiful sunrise views over Merimbula. The owner Casper, took the time to show us around and talk us through his restoration. We had the breakfast in the main hall which was great value and had THE BEST CROISSANTS ever, freshly baked and served warm. The little touches were not unnoticed. Boutique teas, coffee in the room, quality toiletries etc
Staff very friendly and welcoming. room size was excellent for a family stay and the housekeeping was fantastic. it was nice to come back to a clean and fresh room after a day of sightseeing.
Despite the room’s position on the road, it was still relatively quiet and peaceful. hotel’s location was excellent and within walking distance to Market Street , shops, restaurants and the wharf.
Spotless little motel with super friendly owners, I highly reccommend The Pelican. We arrived with a baby which means lots of gear and extra questions but nothing was too hard for Tom on the front desk. Walked to dinner that night and the water for breakfast the next day. There's lots of good motel options in Merimbula it seems, but we were so happy we fluked The Pelican - we'll be back.
Really spacious apartment. Stunning view of Merimbula main beach and across the water towards Pambula Beach. Excellent kitchen with gas stovetop and really good selection of kitchen utensils and appliances. Washing machine was very handy. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Short (but steep) walk to wharf and to middle beach.
We enjoyed a wonderful week at Merimbula Lake Apartments. Friendly staff. Great location over looking the water. Apartment very spacious and well equipped. We did not want for anything. Easy flat walk into town or the beach. Shops close by for a takeaway. Thankyou for the surprise welcome pack. I would stay here again.
Excellent location in Fishpen and literally seconds from main beach and only a couple of minutes walk to Mitchies Jetty.
Really lovely pool that was very clean.
Darren was very helpful and friendly.
Excellent that all the carparks are undercover.
Great view, close to beach and cafes, large apartment perfect for a family stay. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area- would highly recommend as a base to visit Merimbula and the surrounding areas.
Good quality accommodation, good parking, close from apartment to parking, close to Merimbula shops, the units had a lift, lovely view from the unit, great restaurant attached to the units.
Nice view and v close to beach and a bit of bush too. upgraded to penthouse which was fabulous. next to airport but not noisy as only tiny amount of flights.
