Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall, or Glockenspiel, in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is a pedestrian zone which takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse is yet another commercial wonderland. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.

Munich has some great attractions and is very tourist friendly. Remember that most shops are closed on Sundays though. A whole host of restaurants are available to suit all tastes and museums etc are relatively cheap.

Munich is a varied, vibrant and wealthy city.
Munich is a varied, vibrant and wealthy city. I used a bike to explore the leafy neighbourhoods. The parks are outstanding, notably the Olympic Park and Englisher Park. I went on the Third Reich walking tour that was fascinating. I also enjoyed swimming at the Olympic and Art Deco pools for €5 Euros. Was there for 2 days and would highly recommend Munich.

Munich is okay - we were mainly there for a flight and a day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle which is incredible - the city probably takes a bit of time to get your head around as I am sure some of the neighbourhoods are interesting. The old town is nice, the Residenz Museum is excellent. But unless you are really into beer halls, you probably don’t need more than a day here to explore the city - and avoid arriving on a Sunday as most shops and restaurants are shut.

City is really busy during the day with tourists, but still has a relaxed feel, given how quiet it is outside of the main tourist sites. The city does feel a bit sleepy in comparison to others -- kind of similar in energy to Nuremberg, but maybe a little less scenic. Very walkable (sometimes it feels like walking is the main activity, as it's not a vastly thrilling place to visit). A fun place to pass through for a couple of days (max) if you want to relax, eat some food, drink some beer, and chill with some friends!

Munich in March was great, a little chilly but fabulous indoor activities especially the strong beer fests! We met so many wonderful people, heard some great bands, and the city wasn't too crowded!
Our hotel is centrally located really close to the trains.
We enjoyed some excellent restaurants!
If you're going to take a taxi or an Uber, choose an Uber because our taxi driver ripped us off greatly! We went .3 mi it was late at night and they charged us $69 It is in dispute right now. Be careful with taxi drivers!

Excellent location, close to the main station and to public transport, but also in walking distance from the city centre.
It was the second time that we staid at this hotel and it has improved. The forniture in the room was new, the coloured walls make it nicer.
Breakfast is good, for the price (Munich can be very expensive on this aspect). The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean.
An affordable, nice place to stay in one of the most expensive cities in Germany.
Beautiful recently renovated boutique hotel fairly close to the Munich city centre. The penthouse suite was fantastic with a lot of room to relax. The staff was very helpful and nice. The hotel offers a breakfast with various choices and there are also coffee shops nearby. The location is in the Middle Eastern area with plenty of local shops and restaurants around. The area was bustling and very safe.
Affordable price compared to similar hotels in Munich. It was pretty comfortable staying there and they made up the room daily. We appreciated the cleanliness. Its location is not quite in the city centre, but there is a tram stop 3-minute walking from the hotel and it goes straight to the city centre easily. There are a lot of services around the area, including two good cafés for breakfast.
Location is a couple of minutes walk from the S bahn and just past that is the Munich city centre, very easy walking.
The hotel itself is on a fairly quiet street set a bit away from the main road. The breakfast was good too.
Location was great, easy to get into the main city centre of Munich. Metro trains very easy to use. Room was very good value for money, balcony view was great. Hotel staff very proffesional. Breakfast, pool and gym fantastic.
