Loved Les Bastides - wonderfully comfortable beds and rooms and such a warmth of hospitality from the owners. Joel kindly picked me a lemon from their garden every morning for my hot water and lemon and couldn’t have done more to help us.
We loved having the piano and my son and father both played. A very happy stay and couldn’t recommend it more.
Great location too - 10mins to St Paul de Vence and Vence.

We like everything about the property. Location, facilities and FOOD. We think their restaurant should be awarded Michelin stars
La Grande Bastide Hotel is an old 18th century country house which has been turned into a beautiful hotel. It is set in a verdant area with a panoramic view of Saint-Paul de Vence and the sea.

For us it was the perfect location, a pleasant walk to St Paul de Vence, to the wonderful Fondation Maeght museum, and also the charming town of Vence above. It gave many opportunities to walk through old neighborhoods in the hills, where we were greeted by friendly locals. The staff and facilities were wonderful and we were very happy to be able to play tennis. Breakfast was delicious and thankfully offered eggs and bacon. Bed was comfortable and there was no noise. Bathroom nice and has shelf spaces.
We could easily take Uber to Nice where we rented bikes to go to Eze and St Jean Cap Ferrat.
Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Les Vergers de Saint Paul is located between Nice and Cannes on the Cote d’Azur, 0.6 mi from the medieval village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence and the Maeght Foundation.

It was so private and serene amidst impeccably sculpted natural landscapes. Breakfast outside in the orchard was a highlight. The rooms were large, clean and impeccably decorated in a French country manner.

The accommodation was wonderful, with a very welcoming host who offered a smooth check in. A lovely breakfast was served in the mornings by the pool. Also a perfect location to explore Saint Paul De Vence, which is only a few minutes away by walk. Would love to visit again!

Such a pretty town with incredible architecture, packed full of art galleries and with stunning views. You really feel transported away with the winding streets and all round prettiness of the area.
There are some wonderful restaurants (would recommend Restaurant Le Tilleul and Le Ramparts) though it is limited if you are self-catering and need to stock up on essentials. There is a constant stream of tourist trips parading through the village so early mornings and evenings when everyone has left are premium times to enjoy its natural beauty. Close enough to Nice and the rest of the coastline and easy access with taxi's/bus and trains to explore the whole area without a car.

The place is very very good, it is worth the visit. The majority of attractions open at 10.00 so there is no need to be there very very early. Parking is expensive during the day. Sleeping in St. Paul gave us the chance to visit other wonderful places ( Tourette sur Loop, Grasse, Antibes etc. ). The roads are wonderful for a motorbike too.

There are much more interesting and much less crowded 'villages perches' in the region. St Paul is over-run and therefore a visit is not a pleasure. The village is interesting for the number of galleries, but finding good art here gets harder and harder. The exceptions are the Fondation Maeght and Fondation CAB.

Stunning views of the area.
Stunning views of the area. The town itself is exquisite with a lot of shops & restaurants - a lot of commercial looking art galleries but still a great area to walk around, have ice cream ++. Just know it gets crowded & we were there in April!!!

St Paul is a beautiful hilltop medieval town 20 minutes from Nice airport. You do need a car to get here, although obviously buses are available.
I would say it is a great location for a short to medium stay – four days was perfect! If you do end up going here book a table at the colombe D’or restaurant – it is one of my favourite places in the world, but be warned and book as soon as you can, as you will not get a table if you just turn up! I have been here several times before, and so booked it about 10 weeks before I left London! This may not be the case in the winter of course! Ignore the TripAdvisor reviews – I think I must’ve gone to completely different restaurant😂. The service is fantastic, the waiters do speak English and in my opinion, the food is not overpriced although of course it is expensive as everything is in the south of France in fairly touristy places, which St Paul is! I live in London, so frankly anywhere is cheap by comparison! Do go to this restaurant famous for its paintings given by artists. After lunch have a good mooch around the pretty streets - you will find many sweet shops selling very expensive biscuits and sweets but the owners are very happy for you to look😊

She surprised us with a delicious and beautifully decorated heart-shaped strawberry shortcake when she found that we were celebrating our 60th

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Hotel Les Messugues. The staff are all lovely and put themselves out to help wherever possible. Following recent poor health, this hotel was the perfect tonic to rejuvenate and feel comfortable in the surroundings as a family. We were made to feel very welcome and will most definitely be returning to this special place, that somehow has the perfect mix of luxury, without feeling stuffy.
Excellent apartment set over two floors. Very clean and has all amenities needed for a very comfortable stay. Well sized kitchen and living room and bedroom.
Very quiet during the day and night. Well situated in Saint Paul du Vence.
Very pleasant and helpful host with excellent communication for pick up of keys for entry and exit of property. I would have no hesitation staying here again.
The location, and the help with parking by the hotel staff. If you have a car, it's not far from Nice old town, there is plenty of parking garages you can pick from on a day trip. There's also a nice modern shopping centre nearby if you need it. The rooms were spacious with beautiful views of the surrounding area.
Tha staff were very very friendly, smilely and helpful, location just 1km from st paul de vence with charming views and safe street .the breakfast was very good. The view of the room is amazing and the garden was charmig where i ate breakfast.easy bus stop just near the hotel
Great B&B with amazing views. The hostess is extremely friendly and accommodating. Fantastic place to relax and visit the surroundings, walking distance from the historic centre of Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
