Rho is on the edge of Dam Square, half a mile from Amsterdam Central Train Station. It has free Wi-Fi and the lobby is an impressive Art Deco-style former theater.

I got an upgrade for a bigger room, which was very nice. The room was quiet and clean. I really liked the people who worked at the hotel, from the front desk staff to the cleaning lady. Breakfast was great! The hotel is well located, close to the Central Station.

Next to Amsterdam Sloterdijk Train Station, MEININGER Amsterdam West has modern rooms with flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.

I have stayed here before. Great place to stay due to location next to Amsterdam Sloterdijk train station which is easy trip to airport or Centraal station. This is a economy type of hotel. There are facilities to cook your dinner, do laundry. Lots of hostel and school groups stay here, We were a party of three senior women and felt very safe here. They tried to accommodate us to "quiet rooms" .

The Best Culture and Nightlife this Side of a Canal

Jump on your city bike or hop on a canal boat and admire Amsterdam, the Venice of the North! The beautiful city houses, romantic bridges, iconic canals and street cafés create its unique atmosphere and give you an ultimate taste of its fascinating past.

Famous for its museums, most important of which are located in the Museumplein, Amsterdam offers you a chance to see unforgettable masterpieces by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Mondriaan and more. The Anne Frank House is a sobering reminder of the city’s more recent history. After a lot of walking, the Rijksmuseum is a great place to rest and get some extra culture before visiting Amsterdam’s lovely Vondelpark.

The medieval Old Center with the always busy Dam Square and the tempting Red Lights District is the most visited part of Amsterdam. Make sure to stop at Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein, homes to the best nightlife venues.

Shop till you drop at Amsterdam’s most luxury shopping street, PC Hooftstraat, the most popular street market at Albert Cuyp or in the fancy design shops of the Jordaan district. Famous pancakes and frites with mayonnaise are a must-try! The more adventurous traveler might want to try the pickled herring, followed closely by a local beer.

All these attractions are just a short train ride from the Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. Whether you want to stay at a cozy hotel on a canal, a modern apartment in a quiet part of the city or a room in the center of everything, Booking.com has a perfect accommodation for your Amsterdam vacation.

Loved Amsterdam. Beautiful, a bit trashy, city. Loved the buildings, the canals, the canal tours, amazing architecture, fabulous array of museums, just a really fun place to be. We stayed in the historic district at the Lastage Inn (highly recommend) close to everything.

Fabulous art galleries in Amsterdam. We also travelled to The Hague. Fabulous art gallery there too. Also went Delft. Beautiful. Fabulous train system. Watch your step. A gazillion cyclists. We found it very difficult to orient ourselves.

This was my second time to Amsterdam.

This was my second time to Amsterdam. The first time, I came with friends in the winter. It was fun but the weather was very dull. The second time was a solo trip to see the tulips in spring and it was beautiful. Amsterdam is very easy to get around and walkable. There is lots to see. Some must sees are the tulips at Kuekenhof, Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House (book ahead for all). Walking the canals are also a must, they all look the same yet all have a different charm about them.

    What a city.

What a city. So easy to get around especially if you're fit and can cycle or walk. Public transport is plentiful and fun by way of tram, bus or train. There are restaurants from all over the world and if you're desperate there are McDonalds and Burger Kings! Museums also about and there's even one dedicated to cows. It was unique.

The city is full of museums and galleries to explore.

The city is full of museums and galleries to explore. The Rijksmuseum was a highlight. There's a lot of walking involved but this is the best way to explore the canals and sidestreets. The Anne Frank walking tour is a must and also a great way to see parts of the city. There are plenty of great places to eat. The only criticism we had was the rubbish which spilled out onto the streets in some places but I think this is being dealt with.

Element is nestled in a modern shopping centre in the popular and safe suburb of Amsterdam South. The location is superb. Accommodation is easily connected to the city by Metro and bus within walking distance. In addition there is bike hire from the hotel of reasonable rates, ideal for going to the Bos , Amstel Park, and for riding to the city centre, touring experience is only ever complete in Amsterdam on a bike tour! Really happy about the room. The bed is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent.

Good transport links you can access to the hotel from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport via one direct bus. Also you can take Tram 7 to access to city centre very easily. If you walk you can take bus to Haarlem/City centre again. Supermarkets around, good kebab restaurants and sweet/baklava shops nearby. High speed internet speed. If you pay 10 euro per hour, there is early check-in/check-out option.

Great hotel. Very clean, modern, lots of great facilities and the staff are super nice. You can buy snacks and pizza on the ground floor which we did one day when we were hungry. The terrace is stunning and a great place to have a drink. The bed was so so comfortable and huge. Good location and easy to get a bike and cycle into Amsterdam city centre

I had previously worked in this part of Amsterdam and appreciated that it was well connected to the city centre by train/tram. The actual area has changed but the transport was spot-on. The hotel was good value when compared to hotels located within the centre. It was also easily accessible for the airport.
