Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organizations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world-class. Don't miss the futuristic Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

The Walking Tour was a great way to find out a lot about Glasgow and to see the main sites. Our guide was excellent and suggested other places to visit.
There are many museums and art galleries to visit. Such as Kelvingrove and the park. The botanical gardens are a delight with large greenhouses.
We walked everywhere but there is a subway, buses and 2 railway stations.
The street art is amazing. Look out for it on the sides of buildings.

Glasgow has a lot of wonderful history and very interesting architecture, there is lots to see and do and is well worth a visit to explore all it has to offer.
I particularly loved the ship building history on the River Clyde and visiting the Transport Museum.
The only let down for me was the absolute abundance of graffiti and litter everywhere, such a shame as it spoils what is otherwise a beautiful city.
The transport system to get around the City and to / from the Airport is fantastic and there’s absolutely no shortage of shops of all varieties and places to eat.
Glasgow is well worth a visit in my opinion.

Visiting the Burrell collection and the Kelvingrove art...
Visiting the Burrell collection and the Kelvingrove art gallery and museum. Not only are they amazing buildings but they contain the most extensive and amazing works of art.
Train system works well but strangely not directly connected to mainline stations for example as in France.
A good bus system but Did not use it at all during my stay.
Had to find a decent cup off coffee that is not part of a chain.

The location is great for both events in the Ovo or SECC, for walking into the west end, and for train links to the city centre. Car parking with a great discount at the SECC car park next door - was only £8 for 24 hours which is excellent for Glasgow. Good selection of food and drink at the bar, quality breakfast, and fantastic lounge/bar area to hang out in. Room was spotless and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. Later check out time than most hotels too.
The Hampton by Hilton Hotel Glasgow City Centre is a superb location for travellers and couples within easy walking distance of the bustling centre and the attractions it has to offer with the additional benefits of being a quite haven to return to with the helpful and friendly staff always on hand to make our stay a most enjoyable experience.
The location couldn't have been better, right in the city centre and a great place from which to explore Glasgow by foot. It's also right beside a Subway and bus and train stations are very close. The hotel and staff are lovely, and the bar is fabulous. We didn't dine there but the menu looks great and has vegan and veg options.
This is a great hotel for a budget stay near Rutherglen. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are a good size. It's a very easy train journey to Glasgow City centre.
