I was really surprised about the city. I didn’t have time to do all that I wanted. Also outside the city. Swimming with turtles was sooo great, and I could have done it much longer. Lots of colorful fishes as well. The best snorkeling trip so far. Hood place to visit!

Convenient transportation via bus or metro.
Convenient transportation via bus or metro. Great food with low price. Many interesting secret sightseeings to explore.
Though the sidewalks for pedestrians still need quite some improvement. Usually occupied by vendors and motorbikes. Once away from the stations, need to walk on the road with the cars and motorcycles very close.

Great city to visit, Lotus pond great to walk around with beautiful intricate details in some temples. Cijin island was great for exploring with the old fort and lighthouse. The Port area using the Light rail and walking was cool with the old wharf sheds turned into an art shops , cafes and sculptures.

Kaohsiung and Tainan are the 2 oldest cities in Taiwan.
Kaohsiung and Tainan are the 2 oldest cities in Taiwan. Taipei is the capital but these 2 southeastern cities are historically older. Kaohsiung has the best harbor in Taiwan in terms of size and is well protected by 2 long islands blocking waves from the Straits of Taiwan.

I thought Kaohsiung was more urban.
It's a city, but not fun to walk around.
The art center was really nice , I suprised.
Tainan is trendier and more enjoyable, and its nightmarkets were better than Kaohsiung's.

There are many fun places in Kaohsiung. I have been to Kaohsiung many times, to see concerts, and plan short trips. We have not yet explored the entire city. The transportation here is very good. Of course, Taiwan is famous for this. Nice people, good food, and beautiful scenery.

Conveniently located near Kaohsiung Arena, which is a short distance from the main HSR station. Also, plenty of eateries, a night market, malls and GYMS located within walking distance.
There’s a very popular stall just right under the hotel; and the food is undeniably good.
Very affordable place in Kaohsiung, especially if your plan is to just sleep there and spend all day outside. It was also not noisy at all compare to other hotels we stayed in Taiwan, but maybe we didn't have any neighbours, I don't know.
Staff are friendly and helpful, very approachable if there’s anything you need help with. Good location near night market, also has breakfast place opposite hotel. Walking distance to train station.
