Breakfast was great and your employee, Joe in the dining room was most helpful! Our room had a kitchenette....so helpful and convenient for us. The pool was great! The water slide was terrific. I even went in the pool...it's been at least 10 years I put a suit on! It was clean and just the right size for our grandson and the adults.

Heartwood is run by a husband and wife duo that go above and beyond to ensure a happy visit to the town of Drumheller. The accommodations were surprisingly plush with a variety of small touches to make us feel comfortable. Teas, coffees, snacks etc.

Very accommodating staff. Extremely clean! Lots of parking and close enough to town centre.
A surprising destination! A remarkable location and full of history and amazement. Saw several spots...walked in the badlands, saw the hoodoos, climbed the dinosaur, had several ice cream cones and lost count of the many dinosaurs in Drumheller. The museum was outstanding and an unforgetable experience. Such an awesome place to learn out evolution of our world. We ate at several places. Edo and Quesada were convenient for us. We ate a great meal at the Last Chance Saloon and had some beverages thee too. It was pricey but well worth it. The road with 11 bridges was different too. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Drumheller and hope to visit again with other friends and family.

The Tyrall Museum is always a great place to visit.
The Tyrall Museum is always a great place to visit. Barney's Adventure Park is a fabulous place to take the family to. Animals to pet and feed, Dinosaur path to walk, lots of play equipment for the kids to play on. There are food booth's there but it's great to know that you can bring your own food and have a picnic! The Hoodoo's is fun to climb and explore. There are booth's there for drinks and food after your climb to just sit and enjoy the view of the Hoodoo's and surrounding landscape. Atlas Coal Mine is something to see and very interesting. If possible do all three tours at Atlas Coal Mine. The train ride was fun and the staff are very knowledgeable about the coal mines in the area. We did a drive to the Belriot Ferry from Barney's Adventure Park and took the ferry across the Red Deer River. Must read the sign at the ferry crossing it's a little bit of history that I wasn't aware of and the drive back to Drumheller was scenic.

Drumheller, was a stop along the way.
Drumheller, was a stop along the way. Checked out Royal Tyrrell Museum, which was much more expansive than anticipated. Wonderful experience and worth the admission. Didn't see much of the town other than passing through, however there appeared to be interesting things to see and do. When in the area I will most likely check out in greater depth.

The geography of this place is incredible!
The geography of this place is incredible! The fossil history was rich and beautiful. The hoodoos were very interesting and my boys loved exploring around that area. We were passing through so only had one day and I wish we’d had time for a couple of more.

There is no place on earth like Drumheller.
There is no place on earth like Drumheller. The scenery alone is worth the trip, but the history in this community is incredible. And, of course, let's not forget the real draw to Drum - the dinosaurs!!! I've been visiting Drumheller since I was a child, and still love every minute of every visit, it never gets old. Be sure to check out the Ghost Walk!

Drumheller boasts the best museum for dinosaur lovers.
Drumheller boasts the best museum for dinosaur lovers. The badlands are a sight to behold and the quaint city with kitschy dinosaur vibes is lot of fun. Yavis is a landmark worth visit for lunch or dinner (or late night karaoke!). The Royal Tyrrell Museum has become my annual excursion.

Very close to the royal tyrell museum. Good value considering high cost of hotels during peak season. Reasonably comfortable stay. The full kitchen was a nice bonus. Would be great for longer stays in the area.
We went to a concert at the amphitheater and the hotel is so close - just a 3 minute drive. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. And the rooms were very clean and comfortable.
