Grand Hotel Plovdiv is now my hotel of choice for my stays in the city centre. Its location is wonderful. A 10-15 minute stroll through the city centre into the heart of the action. The renovated rooms are incredible. Spacious and modern.

Good location, nice view, very spacious rooms, very comfortable king size bed.
It's a 4-star hotel after all. It is luxurious (probably the best one I booked in Plovdiv), a bit old-fashioned/vintage but most people would probably like it.

Plovdiv is a charming city, it has an incredibly cute old part with atmospheric streets, paved with cobblestones. Ascents and descents, very picturesque perspectives for photo and video shooting. This part ot city seems to keep its ancient secrets. You will find here atmospheric cafe and taverns with very friendly owners. These are nice people who are always ready to help you. There are also enough galleries, museums and historical points. You need to stay in Plovdiv for 3-4 days to feel the spirit of the city, get away from the tourist routes and get to know this place on your own and very closely.

Visiting Plovdiv was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise because it's just so full of history and charm. If you don't mind hiking up a hill or two, I recommend you visit the Old Town and the Alyosha Monument. If you're not too used to steep hills and stairs however, you may want to stick to visiting the Roman Theatre of Philippopolis, the Forum and the vibrant town centre.

Perhaps a guide to restaurant's would help, we found fast food readily available. At least BILA was handy.
Best to go nearer the summer when the weather is more stable because the cold and rain prevented a proper look around the place.

Plovdiv is, without a doubt, the best city I’ve ever visited. There's something truly magical about it, the way it instantly makes you feel at home, like you’ve belonged there all along. The people are full of life, warm, and incredibly friendly, always ready with a smile or a helping hand. The city itself is beautifully vibrant yet cozy, with a comforting charm that wraps around you like a familiar blanket.
One of my favorite parts is the stunning river that flows through the heart of Plovdiv, adding a peaceful and picturesque touch to an already gorgeous cityscape. Whether you're wandering through the historic Old Town or relaxing in one of the many inviting cafes, the whole city radiates a sense of warmth and welcome. Plovdiv isn’t just a place you visit, it’s a place you feel. And once you’ve been, a part of you will never want to leave.

Amazing ancient city build on the ruins of the Roman town of Trimontanum. Many of the ruins have been carefully excavated. Interesting old town. Lots of little museums, galleries and ancient houses. One of the nicest small cities in Europe with the wild and beautiful Rhodoppi mountains just to the south.

Top location on the main shopping street, just a few minutes from the old town, Kapana district and next to the Rome stadium.
Very clean. Rooms very well equiped for a 3 star hotel.
Cosy embient, small things and jestures of attitude such as welcome letter, water, free instant coffee and tea
Perfect location to explore beautiful old Plovdiv, Kapana district and major attractions. All in less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel. I had a car, hotel staff gave me free entrance and parking in old town. Breakfast was very good. Price was moderate. For three star hotel all excellent.
The hotel is placed in a good area, 10 minutes walking from old town.
The mini kitchen had a mini-refrigerator, an electric cooker and a boiling can. There was also a minibar in the room.
The receptionist gave us useful info ref the places to visit.
The parking and the breakfast were ok.
The property is to a very very high standard for Bulgaria. My son was so happy with the choice - I doubt that any other hotel would have achieved the same. Very close to city centre, rail station and the old town.
SOHO Apart House is an absolute gem in Plovdiv.
THANK YOU!!!
It’s a fantastic combination of traditional historic building and modern comfort of the 5 star hotel. Lots of attention to the details.
We loved the place!
