Excellent location. We stayed in a superior room that has a view of MSM. They offered to keep our luggage before and after check in/out. Also they have a quiet room to wait for our return transportation to Paris. Room was big for European standards. Breakfast was good, too. The price was reasonable. Very helpful staff!

location inside the abbey walls is great for wandering around after all the crowds are gone. Plenty of nearby food places.

I booked my trip last minute and on a holiday so the crowds were almost unbearable . Yet, later in the day and early in the morning it was a pleasure to walk the paths of the medieval city . The abbey did not dissapoint. It is a true Marvel . Look into the walking tours across the sand . The self guided tours at the abbey were very good. Research the restaurants and book early. I did not eat very well since I didnt.

Rest your legs the night before!
Rest your legs the night before! lots and lots of stairs wherever you go. Interesting place, picturesque and good restaurants. I went in end of April and the amount of tourists like me was reasonable comfortable. Allowed for 6 + hours but 3 was enough. Returned later in the evening and the place had a different look all together. Enchanting!

Obviously a remarkable experience from outside and within but sharing it with a thousand people is difficult due to restaurant sizes / time restrictions. They should change this open style to a prebooked limited ticket system to control flow of entry and volume of people around.

I had a poster of Le Mont Saint Michel on my wall as a child. I had dreamed of visiting for most of my life, so the bar was high. I was not disappointed. Yes, it is crowded during the day, and it does have lots of little touristy stores, but that didn't detract from the thousand years of history. I would highly recommend a guided tour of the abbey to really understand the significance of the location. I would also recommend walking along the ramparts. It is a bit difficult to maneuver if mobility is an issue, and the stairs can be quite steep, so make sure to not get in a hurry. We spent the night in one of the on-site hotels, and walking throught the city at night was one of the most magical things we've ever done! The pictures at sunset were amazing!

If you like history, architecture, culture or admiring human achievements through the ages, Mont-Saint-Michel is definitely worth the visit, so unique and inspiring. To make the most of your trip, plan on staying overnight when there are so few people and you can truly experience this incredible place.

A very peculiar place to visit.
A very peculiar place to visit. Is a very small village built on top of a steep hill of the coast in Normandy. It looks like you went back in time if you ignore the electric cables running along the facades of the buildings. The visit to the Abbey is "mandatory", don't miss it! If possible stay for the night because at night all other tourists are gone and the place is almost deserted. Amazing!

Clean and functional hotel near to the stop of the navette which brings you in seven minutes to the Mont Saint-Michel. Parking directly at the hotel, good French breakfast with real espresso.
Great to stay on the island of Mont St Michel; walks around the town in the early morning, evening, and night were quiet and magical. Good quality breakfast buffet available.
The location is super handy, pretty much the closest to Mont Saint-Michel without being on the island. Staff were nice and the room too. Perfect for a quick stay.
On the island, so much better when the bulk of the tourists left for the day and in the morning before they started arriving in any numbers
Good breakfast
