We stayed there before going to Caminito del Rey. Alora is a very beautiful town and Hostal Duran was good for our one night stop. You have to leave the car in a parking in the city center, which is not far (500 m), is almost impossible to stop in the front of the hostel because is a narrow one way street. Nice staff. Is a 2 star hotel, just to know what to expect. We had a gorgeous view of the castle from the balcony, Staying there with a wine in the evening or a coffee in the morning is great.

We were in Feb during the week - it was quiet and in fact very relaxing. Olivier was around and always happy to help or provide some advice. No issue with a train station just behind the hotel - it's pretty quiet. Breakfast was rich, fresh and nicely served. It was a great basis for our hikes during the day. Olivier served it one day for us before the official breakfast hours as we were heading to Caminito del Rey for an early start - that was very kind of him.

Well located…just a few minutes drive from Caminito del Rey. Apartment had most what you needed. The small supermarket could have been better stocked and more generous opening times. We arrived with no food since we didn’t know it closed so early…also the shop in the village before was closed. However…due to the electricity cut the shop did open in the evening so we could buy something. Staff tried to be helpful. It was a shame the swimming pool was not open…

We stayed one night at Hostel La Fanega before our Caminito del Rey trip. The host, Martijn, was very kind and accommodating about our arrival and departure times. The room was clean and comfortable, and we had the shared, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom to ourselves, as we were the only guests. The location was perfect for our needs—close to Caminito del Rey. An extra bonus was the sweet family dog, who came by in the morning to say goodbye!

We booked to do the el caminito del rey hike, so this hotel was the perfect spot to stay. it was also easy to get to other places in the park. Our accommodation was comfortable. And everything was clean when we arrived. Claudio at reception was very friendly and helpful. On our arrival the restaurant was about to close and he arranged for the restaurant to serve us food before closing, which we appreciated. Everyone was super friendly overall.

A small, very clean apartment with thoughtful facilities just a few minutes walk from the main square. Street parking available outside the property and a small supermarket just a two minute walk away. The terrace is the highlight, with views across the town and countryside. Less than a 15 minute drive to the Caminito del Rey reception area. Good communication beforehand about location, collection of keys and a contact should we need assistance.

It was easy to communicate with the host and they had set up a radiator in the bedroom before our arrival which was really nice. We stayed there as it was the closest apartment near Caminito Del Rey, but the town itself was really lovely. The apartment had everything we needed and it was quite spacious. It is located on a quiet street where cars can't pass by, but it also meant that parking was further away.

We found the apartment very clean and the decor was lovely in the apartment. Nice cooking area and seating area to relax in . Bathroom was great with extra essentials if required . We found parking outside the door A steep walk to the town for restaurants and half hour drive to the Caminito Del Rey . Flores the owner was always easy to contact

This is such a cute place and the pool is bigger than expected. Breakfast lovely and property within good distance of caminito Del Rey and the lakes. We were travelling around Spain and this place was a welcome retreat! Property extremely well renovated and a fabulous history of the owners property makes this a treat for history lovers.

This is a brilliant upper floor apartment with a beautiful terrace over looking the castle and the beautiful Andalucian architecture of Álora. Quiet and escapist, this apartment was exceptionally clean. Had great facilities and was a perfect base for our trip from Málaga to El Caminito Del Rey. I would highly recommend.

If you want to stay in the evening at terrace and enjoy view to valley and Spanish wine so this is perfect place. For the trip in Caminito del Rey would recommend to leave the car at the accommodation and go to start of the trip by bus. Apartment is very close to the end of this way.

The location is perfect for Caminito del Rey walk. The apartment is in the centre of the beautiful town of Alora. Free parking is availble in a communal carpark a few hundred meters away. The apartment itself was great. Well kitted out and everything worked.

Very clean, good location to see Ronda, Caminito del Rey, Granada and a day trip to Sevilla. Easy uphill walk to town for food. Close little store to get basic supplies nearby. Gas station down the road was great for coffee and food!

The hotel is very well located if you are travelling to the Caminito del Rey. It is about a 10 minute drive to the visitors centre car park. The room itself was standard but comfortable, there is a restaurant underneath the rooms.

Great value for money, great location to visit Caminito Del Rey and other attractions nearby. Easy check-in and check-out with lockbox. In real life, the apartment seemed larger and brighter than in the pictures.

The hotel is close to the trail that takes you to Caminito del Rey. The hotel has an antique atmosphere. The staff is great and helpful especially Gregorio and Victor. We enjoyed our stay.

We liked the location close to Caminito del Rey and Torcal. Apartment is very spacious, quiet and well equipped. Beds are very good. The host is very kind and helpful.

The hotel is great, the rooms are very nice, very clean, the location is perfect if you want to visit the Caminito del Rey, it is a 15 minute car drive.
