Naples is a disasters. The boulevard where the hotel is is one big building site. We had a decent meal. Breakfast was ok. Rooms much smaller then the pictures show.

Breakfast was very good. Location was convenient to the cruise port. Very unsafe area. We say people shooting up IV drugs just outside the hotel. Lots of people living on the street begging for money just outside the hotel entrance.

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.
At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.
While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!
Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.
As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.

Naples is a historical treasure with many historical sites, museums and buildings to explore, I felt very safe walking the streets day and night and the metro was amazing. During my stay I went to a Napoli football game, the whole experience was amazing including travel to and from the stadium on the Metro which is modern and safe.

Busy, slightly mad city with lots to see and do.
Busy, slightly mad city with lots to see and do. Food can be a bit hit and miss with some lacklustre service in the tourist hotspots. But, lots of choice - from those on a budget to those with money to spend. Archaeological Museum a particular highlight, as was the tour of Teatro San Carlo.

Napoli is very chaotic.
Napoli is very chaotic. It seems like an organized chaos but can be overwhelming. I think 2-3 days is more than enough time to see the historic sites and museums. If you are using Naples as a base to take day trips to Ischia and Capri then I would add one day extra for each of those islands.

Myself and my brothers have visited Naples inumerable times as we had grandparents and other family members living there. The city has everything and although first impressions are misleading due to the amount of litter on the streets ,this is cleaned up every night.
Lots of things to do and see in Naples ie museums, catacombs, underground tunnels ,Castle ,Palace and the sofaltara volcanic crater .
Very close and easily accessible are Vesuvius ,Pompeii, Sorento,Amalfi coast and the Islands of Capri and Ischia .
Local buses and the metro are very affordable and quite reliable and food at local pizzerias just off the main roads is marvellous

Napoli is a very local touristic place.
It is a city full of energy, just good vibes and friendly people.
The food is amazing. Anywhere you go, you have the most tasty dish.
It is also a central place to visit other touristic attractions, like Pompeii, Capri, etc.
Super recommend and I am definitely coming back.

It's a fascinating city, incredibly busy and plastered in Graffiti! The transport system works well, but can take a while to arrive. Everyone warned us about pickpockets, and we had no problems. I don't think it's any worse than London. The food is terrific, and prices are good. Crowds are heavy in the tourist areas. We'll definitely return - this is the closest thing we've seen to New York. Wonderful. And a volcano too!

Excellent accommodation with friendly, helpful staff. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Location is great with easy access to Napoli centrale station and metro. Plenty of food options nearby.
We read plenty of previous reviews about the bad neighbourhood but this was just a typical Naples area (maybe guests had only experienced other parts of Italy previously) - the accommodation is secure in a private building on a main street which is well lit and plenty of people around.
The room was delightful, featuring a charming patio with stunning views of Naples’ waterfront. Being situated right at the port, our view was occasionally obstructed by the arrival of large ships, but we still enjoyed watching the bustling activity as they loaded. The breakfast selection was fantastic, and we loved making our own lattes and cappuccinos with their top-notch coffee machines – the best in Italy!
Most pleasant stay in Italy, very clean. It was really pleasant, refreshing. Also I was a little bit worried about the safety of the Naples, the area felt safe and close to the tourist attractions.
Prima prima location in the heart and hub of Naples, we fell in love with Italy through this visit! Will definitely come back! We even had a gentleman waking us with beautiful song in the Galleria
