Breakfast was the best I’ve had in this type of accommodation in France. When we arrived we spoke to your receptionist who went above and beyond with helping us - I was meeting up with my son and his partner. I am so sorry I have forgotten the name of this lady but she was exceptional with her help and welcome.

Once a coaching inn, Hôtel de La Croix d'Or is now a charming hotel-restaurant located in the center of Avranches, just 20 minutes from the famous Mont Saint Michel.

Loved the charm of old times decoration. The garden was immaculate. We were able to enjoy an aperitif outside on the patio. Eating at their restaurant was a delight! Parking available on site.

    We were running late to reach the hotel, so wrote them them, they were super helpful and kind to arrange other means to handover the keys. ( it was on Sunday). They were also generous while checking out. Room was clean, washroom was clean and everything was well placed. Garden was perfect for evening sit out. Every room (cottage) has chairs outside the room for sit out. Has secured parking.

    The room was amazing, very well furnished and clean - What we appreciated the most was the location of the hotel: it's very easy to reach the most touristic destinations from there. We were able to visit both Mont Saint Michel and St. Malo driving respectively for just 20 and 40 minutes. We paid just 8 euros more to access the breakfast in the morning, which was aboundant and very good.

    Natalie the receptionist lady, very helpful and made sure you feel comfortable in this basic hotel. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Good breakfast spread for the price. Nice french all you can eat place down the road. Location perfect to see the Normandy sites. This B&B chain of Hotel, you know what you get for the price you pay.
