Berlin is a big city with a long history from it's imperial past through to the present day. Do your homework and focus on the things you most want to see when you visit. You can't do it all in one trip.

I started my exploration of Berlin by visiting the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. A nice walk is along the famous street Under den Linden all the way to Alexanderplatz, where you can admire the World Clock (Weltzeituhr), the Red Town Hall (Rotes Rathaus), the Neptune Fountain (Neptunbrunnen) and the Berlin Television Tower (Berliner Fernsehturm). History, culture and art come together in Berlin. I was impressed by my visit to the East Side Gallery and Checkpoint Charlie, and I was also emotionally moved by the unusual Holocaust Memorial. I recommend relaxing in the largest park – Tiergarten and then going to the Victory Column to enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the city. You can see the city from a different perspective on a boat trip! If you want to get to know Berlin’s alternative culture, I recommend visiting the Schwarzenberg House (Haus Schwarzenberg). You will feel close to nature in Victoria Park, where you will be surprised by a wonderful waterfall. Climbing to the top of Kreuzberg Hill, you will be able to enjoy a beautiful view of the city.

If it is your first time, I do recommend a walking tour. There are many to choose from, I liked Insider tour of explore Berlin, it takes 3 hours but gives a very nice overview of centuries of history of Berlin. I spent a day in Postdam. To start with, the old museum with Egyptian collection and the topography are nice additions.

Berlin offers you whatever you want, it really feels like the center of the world. It is a huge multicultural city that somehow has no problems with crowds - even on the roads, or at the main tourists sightseeing points.

location is great. Mitte is close enough to city centre to walk to the main sights but it’s also a great neighbourhood in its own right and had loads of lovely bars and restaurants. only ten minute walk from closest s-Bahn station on the S9 from the airport - meant we didn’t have to schlep all the way into Hauptbahnof Staff were all great very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very clean and modern and the hotel bar was great to chill in after long days out and about.

Everything was perfect during my stay in Berlin. This hotel located in the best area of Mitte next to the island of the museums and the metro station, is very smartly designed by people who are really expert in hospitality. In every corner of the hotel you can feel the elegance and the professionalism of the stuff. Special thanks to Benjamin at the reception who was very kind and helpful and the ladies who offered the great breakfast ! Thank you !

Recommended!!! First of all very nice and cooperative stuff 😊. Everything was great. 3 stars in Germany is probably more than 5 stars in many other countries. The place is near several attractions and metro. There is a very good breakfast. We also ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant ( With reasonable price). I liked the design of the hotel, in which every floor's decoration is taken from a different Grimm's brothers legend.

The Hotel is located in Mitte which is very close to the city centre and attractions such as the main Museums, Alexanderplatz or the Brandenburg gate. All can be reached by foot, but there are also metro and tram stations near to the hotel. The breakfast is amazing and at a very reasonable price. The staff is welcoming and speaks excellent English.
