The rooms were clean and comfortable. The apartment had a bedroom, bathroom, living area and kitchen. We had two balconies overlooking the city below. The location was perfect. It was in the historic district so it was easy to explore the area. Everything was close and easy to get to. Lots of places to eat near by. Breakfast was great. Plenty to eat with lots of options and if you wanted, cappuccino as well. Lovely courtyard to have breakfast in or sit and enjoy a drink later in the day. The staff was very helpful in every way.

Lovely little hotel in the heart of Naples. The rooms were super clean and well appointed. Breakfast was varied and included a fresh fruit salad which was amazingly delicious. Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.
At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.
While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!
Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.
As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.
We had terrible first impression! Arrived about 8pm at Central Station. Decided to get a taxi as we had lots of luggage. Jumped in cab - we knew it wasn't far to apartment (less than 5 mins) but we were tired! Then driver tried to charge us 30 euros for the trip and things got a bit heated. We knew we were being ripped off royally... got him down to 15 euros but still knew that was too much (owner of apartment told us it should have been 8-10 max) and then after an argument in street he drove off with one of our bags on the back seat. We never got it back. After that, thankfully, we had great time. Explored old town, did open top bus tour, took ferry to Procida (lovely and worth doing) ; ate great food and generally had fun. We only had 2 full days and wish we had more as so many great trips you can do from here - never mind we felt we didn't touch the surface of Napoli itself. Definitely come back but more time ..and just remember to keep your wits about you!!

Naples is scruffy, noisy and hectic!
Naples is scruffy, noisy and hectic! If you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the place for you. If, however, you like narrow streets, lined with cafes, bars and pizzerias along with historic neighbourhoods, then you will love it. Find a hotel as close to the centre as possible, so you can walk around and really get the feel of the place. Start your day with a coffee and a pastry and share a pizza for lunch - you'll soon walk it off! After a long day of sightseeing, freshen up and head out around 6:30pm for Aperitivo time - an aperitif before dinner which always comes with nibbles to keep you going until dinner - there is no shortage of bars with outside seating - just sip your drink and soak up the atmosphere.
You must catch the Circumvesuviana train from Garibaldi station for the ruins of Herculaneum and Pompeii. A good plan is to get to Herculaneum around 10am, have a good look round for a couple of hours, then head back to the station and go on to Pompeii. stop in the town for a light lunch and aim to arrive at the site at about 3pm. This way you will miss all the cruise ship groups and school parties. From May 1st the park is open until 7pm so you will be able see everything without the crowds and when it is cooler.
Also take the ferry to Procida, an island about 45 minutes away, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I used Naples as a stop over for seeing POMPEI and Herculean.
The most interesting part of Naples is the historic district with its churches, alleys, and plazas. I felt I had stepped back in time. I did not experience any insecurity issues and enjoyed walking and spending time with the locals.

Nice sights, the sea, a trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius...
Nice sights, the sea, a trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius shouldn't be missed. The Amalfi coast boat trip was wonderful. But when going to restaurants, if you don't order pizza or pasta, you should be careful because you will get exactly what it says on the menu and not more. If you order chicken fillet, there will be only lonely chicken fillet on your plate. Side dishes have to ordered separately. Otherwise the plate seems empty. If you order salad as a side dish, there will one leaf of lettuce chopped and that's it. :)

Naples is a Port City , vibrant city with a lot of history . It could have been beautiful but the streets were dirty and lots of homeless . Definitely a party city at night with blocks and blocks of restaurants and shops . Uber maybe better to get around because rates are fixed , we caught a taxi and he definitely overpriced us by taking the longer route .

Enjoyed walking through the narrow streets to see many small shops, historic buildings and the great views across the bay from the high roads in and around Storico Centrico. The Bank museum was interesting with 500 yo records and the stories they tell.

Gorgeous rooms, very spacious and decorated to a high standard. Very clean. The sauna was a nice touch for sore muscles with so much walking around Naples. Easy to contact the host through WhatsApp. Location is very central and great for sightseeing but with that comes a little more noise from busy streets. Breakfast is a small buffet continental breakfast which is normal in Italy but as the location is so central there’s ample choices close by for other tastes. Lots of space in room. Two suitcase stands.
Vani is very helpful and friendly. We felt at home. The location of the house is very safe and in the heart of Naples. It felt like staying at a friend’s house; both the house and Vani have such a great energy. That’s why it’s clear where we’ll stay next time we visit Naples. With her recommendations you can have a budget-friendly and fulfilling trip to Italy.
The guest room is situated in (by far) the best neighborhood of Naples, right on the coastline with countless great restaurants and cafes around. I wouldn't consider staying in any other Naples neighborhood after this stay. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great bathroom, too, something that isn't necessarily standard in Italy.
Fantastic location right in the middle of the shopping strip and near the Spanish quarters. Fantastic restaurants, shopping, Gelato and Pizza all at your doorstep. The hotel was very cute.
I didn't know what to expect from Naples but it was definitely one of my favourite cities in Italy. I'm so glad I made the trip to see it.
Fabulous find on Naples. Well run and excellent customer service. The terrace is fabulous and the breakfast spread was better than anything I've had on Italy. Hot tubs and outdoor showers help to keep you cool.
