Naples is a disasters. The boulevard where the hotel is is one big building site. We had a decent meal. Breakfast was ok. Rooms much smaller then the pictures show.

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.
At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.
While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!
Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.
As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.
Nice sights, the sea, a trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius...
Nice sights, the sea, a trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius shouldn't be missed. The Amalfi coast boat trip was wonderful. But when going to restaurants, if you don't order pizza or pasta, you should be careful because you will get exactly what it says on the menu and not more. If you order chicken fillet, there will be only lonely chicken fillet on your plate. Side dishes have to ordered separately. Otherwise the plate seems empty. If you order salad as a side dish, there will one leaf of lettuce chopped and that's it. :)

Naples is a Port City , vibrant city with a lot of history . It could have been beautiful but the streets were dirty and lots of homeless . Definitely a party city at night with blocks and blocks of restaurants and shops . Uber maybe better to get around because rates are fixed , we caught a taxi and he definitely overpriced us by taking the longer route .

Enjoyed walking through the narrow streets to see many small shops, historic buildings and the great views across the bay from the high roads in and around Storico Centrico. The Bank museum was interesting with 500 yo records and the stories they tell.

We stayed in the historic area of Decumani from Sunday to Friday and noticed that many more people appeared in big groups, possibly from the cruise ships, on Thursday onwards. We had 4 days when it was much quieter and it was wonderful. We spoke to many people in bad Italian when we needed directions etc and they were always really helpful and twice we were escorted to where we were headed. We had been warned about pickpockets etc, but we can honestly say we never felt threatened or worried. We absolutely loved the graffiti Even more so when we were told about it origins. Would we recommend a visit to this vibrant, chaotic, fascinating area of Naples. Be prepared to walk - a lot!!!

Interesting city but manic traffic !
Interesting city but manic traffic ! Visitors need to be aware that vehicles especially scooters make crossing roads extremely hazardous. Trains very crowded . Need to be very aware of thieves . My mobile phone was snatched from around my neck by two youths on a scooter .
For security I had it on a lanyard around my neck - fortunately the clasp on the lanyard broke otherwise I would have been dragged into the road !
We had amazing times visiting Capri , Pompeii and especially Herculaneum . We would recommend taking a guided tour in Pompeii as the site is so large . Our guide Alfonso Maria was amazing - informative & engaging .
Herculaneum an easier site to view and the whole area and town had a very peaceful atmosphere.

We have been to Naples three times and still do not like it.
We have been to Naples three times and still do not like it. We like the tourist places only. This time we were robbed and it really harmed our trip because we could not rent a car. I would advise people to stay outside Naples and make trips to the sites and be safer than we were. We will not repeat these mistakes.

Very friendly staff at the hotel. Great breakfast for being in Italy. The location of the hotel could not be any better, you are in middle of everything plus you have walking distance to both the Metro and Ferries if you want to visit other places during your visit. They also give you free water bottles everyday in your minibar which is very pleasant in the heat. Free coffee almost the entire day aswell.
Overall a very good stay! 😀
We loved our stay at Casa Gennarino. Our host Marco was exceptional. He gave us some amazing recommendations (some of the best food we have had in Italy) and was very helpful! Our room was beautiful and very cosy and the location was perfect, right in the main area of Naples. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely recommend to others
They had a basement parking which was ideal. And the location is very close to the airport and its a perfect airport hotel with 24hr check in/ check out. It was our last night in Naples, Italy and was a perfect end to the holiday. Good stop over at Naples for transits. Very easy access to Public transport.
This was the best property during our visit to Italy. The host was so helpful & he made sure that we are comfortable not only in his apartment but also guided us for all local details as well as information provided. We strongly recommend everyone to book his apartment whenever you visit Naples
Our last night in naples before to leave Italy, this is the most comfortable room in all the trip… amazing breakfast with tipical food, the bed is really wanderfull and the staff is very kind and always ready to help the client.
