Very welcomely and it was such a vibe and gorgeous hotel! Breakfast, dinner, and drinks were all delicious!! The top roof is beautiful I love the design of the space.

Located in Playa del Carmen, Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Playa del Carmen has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center and free WiFi.

Quite a superb location. Close to everything. Conveniently placed along Ave. Constitución just before 5ta avenida. Free parking available for guest (a luxury here). Breakfast covers the most important items of a good breakfast and customer service here is superb. Especial for the front desk personnel such as Flor and the lobby men like Kevin. Rooms are comfortable, have a nice AC unit and cleanliness is top-notch. We did not use it. But right in the lobby is a Tour Agency with a repertoire of activities in case you need to do something extra or else previously not planned. This will be our go to hotel for stays at Playa del Carmen

In the center of Playa del Carmen, just two block away from the beach, this hotel offers air-conditioned rooms decorated with a Mexican style. Also available is an on-site restaurant.

2 things…no one to help with my luggage up or down the stairs, and the shower floor was/looked dirty. Like it needed some elbow grease put in. Sorry I forgot to take pic. Other then that it was great for the price!

It's Time to Playa

At the centre of the Mayan Riveria is Playa del Carmen, a playground for hip Europeans and toned-and-tanned Americans. This resort town showcases the renowned white-sand beaches of the Caribbean Coast along the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

Playa del Carmen's powdery white sands are nestled between Cancun to its north, Tulum in the south and the island of Cozumel, 20 km east with its fantastic diving in the nearby Great Maya Reef. Awake from an afternoon nap to take a dip, go snorkelling or deep-sea fishing in the beautiful blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Playa is an easy choice as a holiday destination with its range of hotels, many first-class restaurants and beachside nightclubs. Quinta Avienda, also known as 5th Avenue, is the main tourist hub and shopping district. For a more authentic Mexico experience, venture outside of the centre to a local cenote (sinkhole) or Mayan ruins in Tulum.

Cruise ships dock in nearby Cozumel and traffic people to the mainland arriving at the Playa del Carmen Maritime Terminal. If the glimmering Caribbean waters are full, then Booking.com has a huge number of hotels with an outdoor swimming pool by the beach.

    It's a very touristy place. Prices are pretty high. Not a lot to do except shopping unless you book tours to the interior. Food at most places is just average, not spectacular, although there are a few restaurants that have really different offerings.

    A tourist destination with a lot of things to do and see. I felt safe travelling by myself. Vendors can get aggressive and annoying at times though. ADO was a great transportation option from the airport to my hotel as the hotel was only a 10 minute walk from the station and for only $12 one-way. Taxis are also available to get around but a good amount of stuff are walking distance and some activities, such as Xcaret, provides transportation options. I ate at Zitla twice and enjoyed the food.

    It's very touristic and very busy, but even an introverted person can find things to do and enjoy here. I personally enjoyed the beach (sunrise), the shaded rest area with Starbucks and a bar at the beginning of the 5th avenue, the lively Mexican party vibe, the beach city vibe. The areas/spots for tourists and locals are very close from one another, so you can enjoy both by just taking a short walk away from the coastline.

    We visited PLaya del Carmen and Cancun. We like playa del carmen better. A little less tourists, more authentic, more locals. Nearby to activities like cenotes and parks of Xcaret. We hired a car from cancun airport, it was very easy to drive.

    Be aware some places to stay on 5th ave u can hear the thumping music was horrible.. til late 4 am!! did not care for playa de carmen 5th ave at least. un less u love to party and drink then its your kind of place.

    Spacious apartments with full functioning kitchen. Seems to be newly renovated and very clean. Good location, in walking distance to nice restaurants and busier Quinta avenida. Beach is one block away and hotel parking is provided. Amazing roof top pools with great view over playa del Carmen, also great to have some cocktails at the roof top bar. It is quiet at night, which makes it very pleasant to sleep.

    This hotel is perfect for visiting Playa del Carmen. The location is very good, in the old town, close to the beach and to bus station. The rooms are spacious and clean, I loved the bathroom. Nice design throughout the building with communal areas where you can relax in the garden.

    Quite a good value for money option. The hotel is approximately 10-15 minutes away (walking distance) from the central area of Playa del Carmen. There is a nice pool at the terrace and the rooms are quite big with nice design.

    Stayed here for two weeks. Extremely clean room, strong wifi and attentive staff. Only 5/10 minutes walk away to downtown. This has been the best value/price hotel in Playa del Carmen for us.
