Location was perfect for our 2 day stay in Bellagio. Right in the heart of the town so it was very easy to walk around and explore. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable with a small balcony to sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake.

Scenery was amazing, the park/ gardens were great to walk through. If you are in a hurry, you are in the wrong place - Bellagio hospitality staff work at a more relaxed pace, so just roll with that! The staff in the ticket office for the ferry - don’t suffer fools, I was one of those…as all the info re times etc is all over the windows of the ticket office. It’s a beautiful place to visit, but by day it’s packed with tourists from other areas…by night it’s calm and pretty quiet. Noting we visited early to mid May…before the summer! It’s a great place well worth a visit.

We were on shoulder season so it wasn't that crowded.
We were on shoulder season so it wasn't that crowded. But it was starting to get warmer and more crowded as we left. I would suggest to get the all day ferry pass so you bypass the ticket line. We waited one day for a hour to buy a ticket back to Bellagio. Just splurge and get the all day ticket. It isn't worth the hassle of buying a single ticket and the difference in cost isn't much.

Bellagio is very beautiful, but its beauty attracts big crowds of people, something that I try to avoid. Many people make day trips to Bellagio, so it can get really crowded from about 11:00 a.m. on. Since I was staying there, I was able to get up early and appreciate its beauty without the crowds, at least for a few hours.
Note: I made a day trip to Como, catching an express ferry in the morning. They don't allow you to buy your return ticket, even if you're planning to return in a few hours. I arrived back at the ticket office at 1:25, planning to buy a ticket for the 2:10 ferry, but they were already sold out - all ferries (!) for the day. I had to take a bus back, which was a bit of a nightmare. It was shoulder-to-shoulder packed and I had to stand for the first 50 minutes of the ride back, which made it much harder to appreciate the beautiful view.

Loved the flair, the fair prices and the food.
Loved the flair, the fair prices and the food. However there is room for improvement, when it comes to the buses, the train station in Como and the fairies. They are always to full, not at time, planed with to low capacity or dirty.

Like most places in Lake Como, Bellagio is just amazing.
Like most places in Lake Como, Bellagio is just amazing. The connectivity to other places in Lake Como is great as there are frequent ferries as well as the C30 bus (a bit erratic but a cheap option to reach Como from Bellagio). The local shops have good stuff (silk especially) with a lot of vegetarian options in the restaurants (Suisse Bellagio is great). Couple of decent gelato shops too. Villa Melzi is beautiful. Pity the weather at this time which was unseasonably rainy and cloudy.

Bellagio is a beautiful thriving little town on the edge of Lake Como.
Lots of little shops to explore and an abundance of restaurants at reasonable prices considering the quality of the food.
Be aware it is famous for its narrow streets and many stone stairs leading up from the harbour, so it may not suit all abilities.
It can be very very busy in high season with long queues for the many boats (ferries). Choose the timing of your visit well, but of an evening it can be a little quieter as the boats finish for the day.
Stunning scenery.

Coziness and friendliness of the stuff!
It’s a fantastic place to visit Bellagio, out of the overcrowded center and very calm. If you’re looking for a place to visit Lake Como, I deeply recommend! Also, they give you free pass to Gardine di Villa Melzi, magic spot (got engaged there) 😁
On top of that, there’s 2 cute dogs (Suzie and Nocce) that are always happy to see you and coming for pets (loved that as I’m pet owner myself)
The reception staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel had plenty of parking space for it's size. The public areas of the hotel were very stylish. The room had a large balcony with a nice view of the surrounding hills. Breakfast was excellent. The view from the hotel restaurant and the patio was second to none! 180 degree panorama view of Lake Como and Bellagio - stunning!
Without doubt the best place I have stayed in Lake Como and even Italy. The photographs do not do the place justice. It is a life affirming experience, a few minutes from everything you could ever need. I can honestly say it changed the way I see the world. It made me a better man. Just. Go.
Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again. The hotel is very modern and clean with all the facilities you need to have a relaxing holiday or to see the sights of lake Como. Absolutely loved our holiday here and everyone was so helpful.
