Antibes is a very heavily-visited, very good-looking place, but at the same time it is a real town with a superb fresh produce market and people selling fish on the quayside as well as just going about their daily business. You cannot walk five paces without passing somewhere to eat and/or drink. Anyone with an interest in art should visit the Picasso museum. Other than that it is really a place just for strolling around in the sun, drinking coffee and/or cocktails, choosing somewhere to eat (it's a good idea to book for the evening), and wishing you could live in France permanently!

Great to walk around and loads of bars and restaurants to hang out in. Loved the ramparts. Very clean place. Train to other places really easy and cheap and opens up the whole area if you don’t have a car. Highly recommend for a short trip early in the year.

Unusual in this super-touristy area--the Cote d'Azur--Antibes is a real town, with proper shops, commercial activity and normal locals and normal local bars and restaurants (as well as tourist stuff and lots of foreigners, obviously), which just happens to be located in a fabulous setting. Small enough to walk everywhere, picturesque old town and sea views to die for round every corner. A wonderful daily food market. A total joy in February and March--and probably in September and October too. I would probably avoid it in June, July and August as it's almost bound to be too crowded.

Antibes is a delightful, beautiful city....not too large and not too small. The promenades in both directions are spectacular. The walk along the sentier littoral was spectacular...some climbing up and down rocky steps but very manageable. The old town was charming and the covered market was teeming with an abundance of produce, meats, fish, delicious baked goods and huge displays of colourful flowers. The weather was variable but the sun made several warm appearances. I would definitely recommend Antibes. It is easy to walk everywhere.
