A pleasant town which must be very good in summer. Easy access to main forms of travel and visiting surrounding areas. Dined at The Ship Inn which was very good and also the Glass House Pavillion for morning coffee/breakfast. Beautiful, bustling town full of welcoming people. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink as well as an array of gift shops, many celebrating local produce or local artists. Also great for the kids, the park at the castle is fab and there's also pottery painting and a variety of other things to do. Would highly recommend a visit here! I also got my hair done while I was visiting at Freedom Hairdressers, they were fantastic! Broughty Ferry is a pretty place to stay with plenty to see and do. There are fabulous pubs and restaurants to eat at reasonable prices. Easy access into Dundee by bus or train. Favourite restaurants were The Ship Inn and The Glasshouse (for coffee and tasty home baking) Lovely variety of shops.
