The Mount Pleasant Hotel is a family-run country-house hotel occupying a beautiful Georgian building right in the center of Malvern.

Absolutely loved this traditional hotel with all its charm. The location is spectacular, the view out our room was to die for. Ashley at the front desk was particularly kind, efficient and gracious. The restaurant downstairs is great. Very much enjoyed our too-short stay.

So much beauty and history. Classic architecture. The walks on the Hills, spectacular. Collected pure Spring water from the Wells on the Hills. Great Malvern is charming.

Great Malvern is charming. Very friendly locals, a climb up to the top of the Malverns from the town with superb views (quite tough), lots of steep hills in Malvern so you have to be a bit fit, lots to see and do in surrounding areas, a Waitrose, a beautiful train station, theatres, the Priory Church which was a monastery. I also visited Hereford and Worcester from Malvern. 3 days was sufficient for me with a car.

The town itself is both historic and contemporary.

The town itself is both historic and contemporary. Plenty of independent shops and cafes. The Nag’s Head is well known for its cask ales; our meal at the (Nepalese) Yak and Yet was very good, and just a very short distance from Belle Vue Terrace. Then there are the hills that matched their reputation; and then there are plains, villages and characterful towns in every direction. A paradise for walkers of all abilities if walking is your therapy.

    Beautiful countryside and amazing walks.

Beautiful countryside and amazing walks. We ate at the ‘Duke of York’ pub 5 miles from the cottage in the woods. The food was lovely, reasonably priced, and dogs were welcome. There was a good selection of cask ales and wines, and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

The people were amazing and so friendly.

The people were amazing and so friendly. The history of Great Malvern and the Abby was incredible. The Malvern Hills is a must although we did not make it to the top but what a beautiful sight. There is so much to see and do not to mention you can walk everywhere as everything is in close range. We enjoyed many coffees at Cafe Nero, it was amazing. We loved seeing so many locals walking their dogs and how the doggies are welcome everywhere, amazing. Christmas lunch was at the Blue Bell Inn and it was incredible. the food was excellent and the service was amazing.

Could have stayed longer and seen more, including much more of surrounding areas, but this was great for a midwinter break. We also visited Ledbury, Hereford, Worcester. In midwinter various museums are closed.

We were expecting a good experience here after seeing such positive reviews, but were surprised by just how much we ended up enjoying our stay. The manager (the owners' daughter) was great fun and the staff friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very good indeed, and the bar a relaxing and welcoming place to nurse a drink or two. The hotel itself had lots of nice touches, managing to have character while still feeling bright and fresh. We will definitely stay here again whenever we return to Great Malvern.

The Foley Arms dates back to the early Nineteenth Century and is located in the Upper part of Great Malvern. The views from the rear terrace were outstanding over towards the Cotswolds and Vale of Severn. As usual the Wetherspoons prices for both food and drink make any other hostelry seem outrageously priced. We ate and drank almost exclusively in the hotel and ate and drank well. The staff were pleasant and friendly and engaged easily with us.

A unique blend of modern comfort and historic settings. Housed in a Victorian building, the hotel presents a romantic, quiet and relaxing tune, fitted perfectly in the surrounding atmosphere of the town. It definitely deserves the title of one of Malvern's landmarks. The staff was polite and warmhearted. The breakfast menu was delicious and generous. A very energizing place.
