This 17th century coaching inn has retained many of its original features, including a hand carved staircase and hand painted sundial.

Lovely old style building with cozy comfy rooms. Coffee and tea facilities plus water provided. Also wifi is very good even in the rooms across the courtyard. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Stayed twice now and will stay again when next in the area.

We loved the cosy and quirky character of the cottage. It was well laid out, with everything you might need for your stay. The bedding and the soft furnishings were all lovely quality and the whole cottage was spotlessly clean. It was like a home from home.
Featuring a garden, Whiskers and Woods Shepherd Hut features accommodations in Denham. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking.

Really comfortable stay. Everything supplied and to a high standard. The hut is private and overlooks wonderful fields. Very peaceful and we were left alone.

I stay at the property regularly simply because of the experience I've had there so far. Everything, the staff, facilities and food are all excellent. The Shepherds huts are amazing, like a little home away from home. And the packaged, take away breakfast in the morning is superb.
21 miles from The Apex in Thorndon, Owl's Hoot offers accommodations with free Wifi and access to a sauna and hot tub. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio.
I liked the historical and Architectural ambiance.
I liked the historical and Architectural ambiance. I liked the friendly staff. Excellent food and good choice at all meals.
If I could change anything it would be a walk in shower in my room and I would have also liked an arm chair. There was space for one.
Transport size there is an infrequent bus to take you in to Diss but in my humble opinion there is a lack of available taxi cabs to take you to the train Station. I did not ask reception as I have taxi numbers in my phone so may have missed out. I am sure they have the same problem finding a taxi though. Those of us living in places with a good transport system find this an issue.
Overall I liked Scope inn very much. I would recommend it to my friends especially those with a Car.

Large village outside Diss, midway between Ipswich and Norwich, convenient for visiting Norfolk and Suffolk and coastal towns.
Went there for a wedding at little green wedding bard which was a10 minute trip. Went out for a meal and the thatchers needle in Diss which again was about 10 minutes away. Lovely pub/ restaurant which has a great choice of meals, the car very was one of the best I have had in a long time whith plenty of meat rather than the two or three slices you get at a lot of places.lovely eating area outside if the weather is good or large eating area inside if needed. Staff were helpful and attentive, would recommend for anyone staying in the area.

The history of the building and the "quirkiness" are extremely interesting. It is like staying in a piece of history. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and it really does feel more like staying at someone's house as opposed to a hotel.

The hotel had character that I wasn't expecting , and I liked that. Established in 1655!! Some nice features reflecting its age - slightly spoiled by the rather arid and tacky "modern" style of the restaurant and ancillary eating area which did not really match the general "olde world" ambience. But overall much nicer than many budget hotels. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom fine. Breakfast and dinner were both good. Dining room and bar are both in keeping with the historic nature of the building and pleasant places to eat and drink. The hotel is situated in a village setting and is visually very appealing both inside and out. Plenty of parking space available. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Julie and Mark have done a superb job with the pub/hotel. Room was clean and nicely done out and there were plug sockets next to the bed.
Food was amazing thanks to Julie. Such a lovely, friendly couple. Lorna & Gary
This is should not be called a hotel. It does not have the normal services that you would expect from a hotel, from servicing of the rooms to provide clean towels daily.
Lovely period hotel situated in a lovely peaceful village. The room we stopped in was large with a comfortable bed, the decor complemented the hotels period.
