Lovely view of the golf course from the room. The super king bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. While the bathroom was a little dated, the shower had excellent water pressure. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of fruit, yoghurts, cereals, and pastries, plus a hot buffet. You could also order freshly cooked options like avocado and poached eggs or an omelette. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The leisure facilities were a great bonus, and the sun loungers in the little garden off the pool area created a lovely space to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
With a rich and vibrant history, the riverside town of Tewkesbury features stunning scenery, including almost 400 listed buildings and an elegant 900-year-old Abbey.

Steeped in history, splendid buildings.
Steeped in history, splendid buildings. Stroll along the river to some good pubs with gardens and cheap grub. High Street was thriving lots of independent shops as well as a good selection of the obligatory charity shops for some deals.

A very interesting and characterful town within easy reach by car or bus to the bigger cities nearby like Cheltenham and Gloucester. If you prefer big city shopping centres, go the the nearby cities. If you prefer more characterful , more rural and less commercial towns go to Tewkesbury

The hotel was clean.
The hotel was clean. The room was very efficiently tidied and cleaned every morning while we enjoyed the excellent breakfast. Everywhere had great views and in spite of the large spacious areas everywhere was warm despite the outside temperature barely rising above 5C.
Don't miss a visit to nearby Deerhurst saxon church. At this time of year, February the snowdrops are a huge carpet not to mention the historical importance of such an isolated hamlet

Tewkesbury well combines the ancient & modern.
Tewkesbury well combines the ancient & modern. A bustling high street next to older buildings with fascinating history. The Abbey is worth visiting - as is the Museum. And the Cross House Tavern has a snug couple of rooms with fantastic beer. Further afield is Malvern Priory, not to be missed (if you're into that sort of thing !), along with walking on the Malvern Hills.

Breakfast was very good with a large variety of food. The restaurant evening food also very good and could order from bar if desired. The room was pleasant. Staff were friendly and request for extra duvets was met promptly. The hotel is in beautiful surroundings with wide panoramic view towards the town and to the Malvern hills. The pool was pleasant and a good size; also enjoyed the steam room and hot tub. Tewkesbury is a lovely little town, with interesting Abbey; also easy to get to Cotswold villages and to Malvern.
Friendly, welcoming, the building is steeped in history.
