Offering rooms with an ocean view, this Bar Harbor waterfront property features daily nature cruises from its private dock and has both indoor and outdoor pools.

My husband liked the big pool so he could swim laps. Our room was right on the water and we had a great view of the ocean. Loved the plentiful parking after trying to find parking in town. Breakfast was the best in our almost 3 week trip and we are hard to please. The staff were great and when we arrived several young guys saw us man handling our luggage and came to help us. They left before we could even tip them. Highly recommend this place.

This Bar Harbor property is located just 5 minutes’ drive from Acadia National Park and half a mile from the Bar Harbor pier. Facilities include free Wi-Fi and lush gardens.

The room was quite spacious. We loved the warming vent in the bathroom! Well equipped with a good sized refrigerator, and very clean. It was an excellent location with an easy walk downtown and to local restaurants and shops. Christopher checked us in and was amazing! He was a wealth of information both about Bar Harbor and options for our daughters nuptials in May 2026. He is truly a gem. All the staff we interacted with were fantastic and so helpful.

I always visit Bar Harbor off season outside the period when you need reservations for Cadillac Mountain. That way, parking is not an issue when in Arcadia National Park. The downside to late fall is that many restaurants and shops are closed for the season. The plus is that you are eating and shopping with the locals.

We arrived with leaves still in their Autumn splendor and unusally warm weather making it possible to do a bit of outdoor explration and a hike in Acadia. Shops this time of year (late October) are mostly closed, while some are surprisingly open. The waterfront is beautiful. The neighborhoods are very pretty, and people are friendly. We want to return with time to immerse ourselves.

Bar Harbor was a beautiful place.

Bar Harbor was a beautiful place. Well kept, clean, and very photo worthy. The shops and restaurants were friendly staffed and we never had bad service. If you are planning a trip here, be advised there is a lot of walking. Parking is available but is metered. We walked everywhere we went and everything is within 10 minutes. For the lobster and seafood lovers; you would think since lobster is found right off the bay it would be less expensive, however this was not the case. Please bring a decent amount of money for the restaurants as is to be expected, this is a tourist town and you pay a tourist price. Acadia National Park is just a quick 6 minutes away with stunning things to see.

Perfect starting point for the indescribably beautiful Acadia National Park. Lots of charm and history. Enjoyed the self guided walking tour as a lesson and intro to the area. Reminds me a lot of Cape Cod with the environs and architecture, harbor and beaches. Fantastic food options and friendly helpful town folk. Just a real gem. Don’t miss it!

The shopping was great - there were many shops to check out. Nice selection and assortment of restaurants. The close proximity of our lodging made the walk to downtown very enjoyable. We were able to quickly get to several attractions by car quite easily. The atmosphere of Bar Harbor was laid back and relaxed. We loved it.

A really lovely hotel on the edge of Bar Harbor close to Acadia National Park. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and spacious, we wanted for nothing. We particularly liked the way the hotel encouraged guests to recycle items and all products used at breakfast were recyclable which was fantastic! The breakfast too was really nice with a great choice of items each day.

The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. Everyone, from the moment we registered to the bus boy cleaning our table after breakfast, was warm, friendly and eager to help anyway they could. The room decor was a little dated, but that only added to the charm of the hotel. Great location to all the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor.
